  1. She's part of the TalkSox Axis of Evil.
  2. Move Devers for a scrub like Machado? Pffft... Effff that.
  3. When Ellsbury had his fluke 2011, not many people thought he could keep it up. With Judge, it does remain to be seen, but seems much more likely that he's not going to fall off a cliff when he gets to hit routine popup hr's at Yankee Stadium v2 for 81 games a year. He'll need a serious injury to really impact his career that much.
  4. Judge doubled Sexon's highest WAR season in his rookie year. I'm not sure why anyone would expect him to regress that far.
  5. I agree. Moreland is fine, but what's the point, you know? I think Stanton is out. Their best bet is JD followed by Santana. If they don't get one of those three, I'll be disappointed.
  6. I think it's all about word choice, similar to BB. Media people rag on BB for his non-answers. That doesn't make BB a liar. It's all in HOW you answer the question. "We don't have plans to bring Devers up right now" doesn't mean "we are definitely not calling him up." Also, s*** changes. Sorry shhhhh changes... Unless DD all of a sudden thinks Brentz is a middle of the order bat or starts to feed Swihart massive amounts of roids, they'll have to get someone else with a decent power profile to round out the lineup.
  7. A full year of 2018 triple crown winner Rafael Devers will be a pretty good boost too.
  8. But since Matsui wasn't Babe Ruth, Otani is a garbage player.
  9. Stop making me agree with Jacko.
  10. Sox had the least amount of regular season runs scored for any playoff team last year.
  11. Yankees run differential +198 Red Sox run differential +117 (lowest for any division winner)
  12. As a Sox fan, Matsui always concerned me more than a guy like Gary Sheffield. I don't think the Yankees regretted that signing at all.
  13. That's a pretty s***** thing to say and a reason we avoid politics around here.
  14. Sure, but DD has said there is a need for a big bat. I'd listen to him on that. Complaining about his comments concerning Devers and surgeries is just noise to me.
  15. I'd be on board if Travis had the power profile of a 1b. He doesn't.
  16. Batting average only? That's effff'd up. You need to include RBIs too.
  17. 200 Innings 4.50 ERA
  18. I think CV has a great arm, but the rest of his defense is just ok. He's good enough if he can hit a little. Note: Hannigan was the league leader in 2016. Swihart was 2nd in 2015.
  19. Whoop whoop!
  20. @redsoxstats 2017 wOBA v. L .232, v. R .338 Robby Scott (570K) v. L .304, v. R .332 Watson (2/12M?) v. L .301, v. R .255 McGee (3/24M?) Maybe Scott is good enough?
  21. Effffff Mitch Moreland.
  22. I care so little about this issue.
  23. Not today. Well, not yet at least...
