  1. @BeyondtheMnstr Blaze Jordan with a three-run bomb for Salem https://twitter.com/BeyondtheMnstr/status/1536740396327387138
  2. Busy season is over. College kids are gone. Enjoy the city. Davis Sq is pretty cool if you haven't been there yet. Take the Orange Line to Forest Hills and walk around the Arnold Arboretum. It's close enough to walk around JP from there.
  3. Yes. His 20 HRs this season matches his career total from his previous 705 ABs. It's a shame for all these prospects that missed out on 2020.
  4. @SoxProspects For the first time, Nick Northcut is SoxProspects Player of the Week after slashing .318/.400/.955 with four home runs and 11 RBI. The 22-year-old slugger was also South Atlantic League Player of the Week. Northcut is #60 on the #SP60. We stan our tater king.
  5. When I lived in Boston, I always loved walking around Fenway when there wasn't a game. Then just walk down by the Charles and either head downtown or walk over to Cambridge.
  6. He saw the recent video of Paul Stanley lip synching to Detroit Rock City and realized he was living a lie. He's probably at home watching Zapruder videos of Mini Kiss right now.
  7. I think they have a closer on the squad already (Houck).
  8. Genetics
  9. @NBCSEdgeBB Chris Sale (ribs) faces hitters Monday in Florida
  10. Had to pitch around Refsnyder there. Refsnyder was due.
  11. He had 7 SB's in 26 games last season. Granted, at lower levels, you don't need to really be fast to steal bases and the amount of SB's can be very inflated based on the effectiveness of the battery. Also, his SP scouting report lists him as un: Fringe-average speed. Good instincts, but not a burner. Will play faster than his foot speed because of how he reads the game. Seems right on the money? He can exploit his baseball sense at the lower levels. I don't think he's going to be a 25-30 SB guy in the bigs, but being a Sox has shows me seasons were Varitek reached 10 SB's and Vaz led the whole team in SB's. Maybe he's a consistent 15-20 guy just because of his baseball smarts and getting on base?
  12. @SoxProspects Red Sox affiliate SB leaders- 6/13 1. David Hamilton- 23 (AA) 2. Ceddanne Rafaela- 14 (AA/A+) 3. Jarren Duran- 11 (AAA) 4. Jeter Downs- 10 (AAA) 4. Tyler McDonough- 10 (A+) 4. Gilberto Jimenez- 10 (A+) 7. Phillip Sikes- 9 (A) 8. Marcelo Mayer- 8 (A) 8. Eddinson Paulino- 8 (A) I wasn't aware that McDonough and Mayer were doing this.
  13. 2022: 6 DRS and it's only 6/13 3 RunsAboveAverage (was -5 at SS last season) I think he can be a very good 2b over the course of his Sox contract if they leave him there. Maybe even help him mentor Mayer when he gets to BOS.
  14. I think you can find a replacement for Arroyo fairly easily. I don't think he's really a starting caliber guy. If I had to, I'd just role out the red carpet for a bunch of young guys and let them duke it out for 2b/ss PA's next year. Honestly, I'd consider just leaving Story at 2b for now and think about what the plan would be for Yorke/2b later on. I think you can piecemeal SS for 2023/24 until Mayer is ready.
  15. They have more upside that throwing Brasier and Robles out there again. I'd also cut bait on Diekman if I was GM.
  16. Mayer also missed about 2 weeks with the wrist injury. I don't think they are going to rush him. I'm not sure there is any reason to at this point. He'll finish this year at Greenville. He'll either start at Greenville next season, or Portland if he's really mashing. If he follows the Bobby Witt track, he'd be ready n 2024.
  17. I'm not sure they'd do it before 200 PA's. It's not the worst thing in the world to let a guy have success. I think they'd probably keep him down long enough to play in whatever All Star game they have at Low A this year and them promote him after. That seems to be when a lot of the promotions happen.
  18. It's why you don't put someone like Arroyo in the OF.
  19. He sat on the bench for long stretches of last season too for no reason. Cora just might not like the walks. IDK.
  20. They only use him in very low leverage situations. Cora does not trust him. You can see that Cora doesn't trust Valdez in how that guy is used too.
  21. Maybe Darwinzon Hernandez to 60 Day IL?
  22. I considered it, at first and had Verdugo in RF.
  23. 2023: RF JBJ CF Duran LF Verdugo 2024: RF Fitzgerald/McDonough CF Rafaela LF Verdugo 2025: RF Fitzgerald/McDonough CF Rafaela LF Binelas/Hickey 2026: RF Bleis CF Rafaela LF Binelas/Hickey
