  1. The truth is out there. Sorry, first thing that popped into my head.
  2. Quite a game. Lived up to the expectations and then some. Why do Japanese fans insist what's-his-name has surpassed Ichiro as Japan's greatest hitter? Let's see how many consecutive 200-hit seasons he could rack up here...
  3. HOFer? Maybe, but only after Blyleven gets in. Which may never happen.
  4. Japan and Korea gear up for this. The U.S. does not. All you need to do is look at the pitching staff. Ted Lilly is a 3rd or 4th starter on most MLB teams. If the U.S. were serious about winning, they'd have the best of the best. The aces of the aces. The horses. The stoppers. And they'd be in mid-season form. Not still stretching their arms out and trying to locate their fastballs. If the U.S. is going to half ass it with its roster and its preparation, there's really no sense in even playing. But at the same time, you can't force the Sabathias and the Sizemores to play if they don't want to. There's the rub.
  5. Nash shouldn't have won either of his MVPs, IMO. Kobe deserved them both, just like LeBron deserved to win last year instead of Kobe. But they gave it to Kobe as a makeup call and because he had never won one before. Sort of like when Scorsese finally won Best Director. Although The Departed did make him a worthy recipient.
  6. Wow, good new poster.
  7. Hmm, maybe "This Used to Be My Playground"?
  8. Whoever owns Time To Mo Vaughn, I've proposed a trade.
  9. Who's in your outfield?
  10. I laughed when Linda Cohn said that for the first time ever the U.S. had made it to the semi-finals in the WBC. Like this is some great historic achievement. Like 2006 was decades ago.
  11. 700hitter's reasons coincide with mine. I would also add the mercy rule, the pitch count on starters, and the fact that they automatically put runners on 1st and 2nd base starting in the 13th inning. That's just retarded. Why don't we just let them fungo when they walk? That's the ticket!
  12. Wade definitely deserves it over Kobe. It's much closer with LeBron, but Wade would get my vote.
  13. That was a great finish. Suck on that, Puerto Rico.
  14. Props on the new avatar Kilo.
  15. Ah, narcissism is a wonderful thing. What a tool.
  16. And don't forget Carl Pavano.
  17. The pinnacle of baseball entertainment? I've got a new signature.
  18. I didn't mean I would literally put it like that. But that's the essence of what I would be thinking.
  19. And if you want to get psychological, I remember a few years ago Pujols said that Bonds deserved to win the MVP over him. It obviously didn't bother Pujols that everyone knew Bonds was taking HGH at the time. But no, he deserved it. If I had been Pujols and I was clean, I would have been like, "f*** no he shouldn't get it!"
  20. Agree to disagree on this one fellas.
  21. Based on how overwhelmingly, ridiculously good he's been throughout his entire career. Like someone else we know who now wears pinstripes.
  22. Not for a second. One of the more obvious cheaters, IMO.
  23. It is sad. The only guys left from the '05 White Sox group are Konerko, Dye, Pierzynski, Buehrle, Contreras, and Jenks.
  24. He has no plate discipline, he strikes out a ton, and his OBP sucks. His Minor League stats are about the same. It's a wonder he ever got called up.
