  1. If it aint broke dont fix it!
  2. Soft tossing LH VS The Sox= LH pitcher performing like a Cy Young contender...
  3. A ball? A ball? Jacko after all that droing all winter long about A ball and how you can't judge guys from there, you bring this crap to the table? All winter you crushed the 3 B's about not being above A ball, and now a Yankee prospect comes along and you throw it all out the window? What happened to you not getting excited or paying attention unless the guys were AA ball in above? Come on man lets see some consistancy. Just because your team is in the crapper doesn't mean you get to change your philosophy and re-nig on everything you spewed over the long winter months:)
  4. The only thing he will teach Hughes is how to open the clubhouse door and catch a flight to Texas on time, you guys are grasping at straws if you think Roger is going to stick around and teach Hughes anything besides that...
  5. Giambi,AROD,Abreu,Farnsworth,MO,Posada should all be available. The only reason I say Mo and Posada cause there FA at seasons end. You guys could get tons of prospects at the TDL if your GM has the balls to pull the trigger. By trading of those guys you could solidify your farm sysyem and your team for the next 10 yrs. I don't see Cashman showing the balls to do it tho, but imagine what you could get in return for those guys. I would be very scared of the Yankees for a long time to come. Another thought is, get something for AROD while you can, because he now has an anothoer excuse to leave town, the Yankees suck and look like they need to rebuild. He won't stick around for that, and it pretty much gives him a free pass out of town because if you want to win a championship and your team is in such shape as the Yankees, no one would blame him for bailing. Skoal sucks, he should atleast get a quater can of Copenhagen...
  6. Too bad, hopefully some good will come of this and people who ride without life jackets will reconsider now...
  7. I never said believe him, just relaying the info, dont shoot the messenger:D
  8. I´ll take that bet too, sign me up?
  9. If Schilling bombs tonight, I´m gonna start a `who the Hell do we get to replace his fat ass`thread...
  10. Ya he might not be able to cut it in CF, but what about Drew in CF and Griffey in RF? Also, Griffey seems to think he can still play CF according to an interview he gave at the beginning of the season. I don't think this is a bad move if the price is right. If they don't want lets say a top 5 prospect in return(3 B's, Ellsbury, and lets say Cox). I'd send Hansen/Delcarmen, Murphy, maybe another low level prospect if Cincy picks up a decent amount of his remaning salary. But if they want us to absorb most of it then only 2 Minor leaguers should go there way. Maybe send Coco and a prospect. Theres numerous possibilities. Another upside to this is Griffey would only be around 2 yrs tops. This would not block Ellsbury too long in the minors. And another full year at AAA wouldn't be the worst thing in the world anyway. By the time he gets to Boston he should one of the most well groomed Prospects we have seen in awhile. I do the deal if the price is right...
  11. Hughes, Desalvo and Tabata for Todd Helton.......hahahahaha..... That would be a Stiny special!
  12. Jacko you better hope Cashman doesn't take the fall. Whoever comes in will be answering to old Stiny again and you know how he is, all those prospects that Cashman has gotten for you guys could head out of town to bring in more over priced ML players. Stiny can destroy what Cashman has accomplished in about one weekend if given the chance.
  13. Id take Linebrink for him, maybe a low level prospect as well. The Sox can use Cerrano's potential/age/price as leverage...
  14. That just shows you the competitor in him. He wants to play no matter what. The guy might not have his best stuff on some nights but hes a gamer and finds ways to make it threw. Nice "Man Up" moment for Dice-K:thumbsup:
  15. Hockey over the Sox? WTF?
  16. I saw the way it all turned out and was surprised. Ill have to admit im not a huge basketball guy, but I was kinda hoping to see 1 of the 2 in a Celts Uni. They will end up with the Chinese dude or maybe Wright from UNC, Hibbert is going back to school, so he will be available next yr. His games has gotten better by leaps and strides every year so maybe next year the Celts might get him.
  17. Hes a more expensive(not by much), version of JD Drew with a bit higher batting AVG. There power and health issues are about equal, ther 15 to 20 HR guys that may hit 25...
  18. Not surprising tho...
  19. He would be resigned by someone in about a week, hed need that much time to look threw offers from every other club. LAA would probably sign him to a nice deal because they need a bat. I wont be sorry to see him go, just makes the Yankee lineup that much weaker.
  20. Conspiracy thought of the Day: 07 is the first season in a few years that The Rox aren't keeping there balls in the humidor. He's a good player but ive always thought his numbers were swollen a few years because of playing at Coors field. I think else were hes a .300 hitter, and capable of 15-25 HR and 85-100 RBI type guy. Which Isnt nothingt o sneeze at but hes gonna cost alot for along time plus some hes going to command an organizations prospect of the top 10 category maybe even 2.
  21. If AROD ends up in Boston, Manny will be gone, plan and very simple. I'm ot sure how id feel about it tho, I wouldn't blame them for doing it because it is an improvement all beit an expensive one. But if Manny, Schill, Wake and who ever else is off the books then they will have money to spend. Boston maybe CHC are the only two other big market teams that if he won a WS his awful OCT in NY would be forgotten. Another thing to consider if you give him a 6 yr deal and contimues his numbers the way he is now he might be chasing down the HR record towards the end of the deal. Of course id like to see a 2-5 of Drew( would move from the 5th spot), Papi, Manny, AROD, but I dont see them keeping Manny if AROD comes to town.
  22. Cerrano will get the start today anyway because there facing a LH. Then they will evaluate JD later today. It sucks if hes hurt but atleast he was trying for the ball when it happend, good effort...
  23. I think GOM is using reverse psychology on us LOL
  24. I wont count the Yankees out unless were 8 games up with 7 games left in the season...
