  1. Fenway, if I had to pick one place to watch baseball, it be Fenway every time.
  2. Id rather see him miss one starts now and be done with it, instead of it being a nagging problem for the whole season.
  3. If it aint broke don't fix it.
  4. Jacko is this all you got? You have to bring up Hansen who hasn't even been relevent since ST?
  5. It has as much of a chance of happening as I do of banging Jessica Alba in the ass...(Sorry mods for the explicit language, I felt it a need, to get the point across properly)
  6. Its absurd is what it is:D
  7. Moss might put up some big numbers. Brady makes every WR better and look like a pro bowler. He made Givens look awesome, he left and is barely hanging on now. Branch is good but didn't come close to the numbers he put up in NE.
  8. Jesus I could have put up better numbers then Moss last season if I was on the Patriots. Caldwell had decent numbers because of lack of choice, not skill. See how many balls he gets this year. If no injuries happen i'll be surprised if he can stay on the team. Hes atleast #5 or worse WR right now. 1. Moss 2. Stallworth 3. Welker 4. Washington 5. Brown/Caldwell/Jackson
  9. I'm surprised Lebron doesn't get more votes. You take him away from the Cavs and there a lottery team and not a playoff team plan and simple. But his time will come i'm sure, just thought i'd throw that into the argument.
  10. Paps said this after Schilling admitted he was wrong, if anything all he was doing was reassuring that Schilling was wrong, this is a reach even for Yankees fans... The best thing for you guys is maybe to have Clemens go down with a hammy, then maybe you will go out and get a decent starter that can pitch more then 5 innings and won't help burn out your BP by the 4th of July.
  11. Good article, of course all Yankees fans will will see this as blasphmey...
  12. I know from years of experience to never count the Yankees out, that said they are digging themselves a nice hole. Clemens will give them 5 or 6 innings if he can keep his legs healthy. But here in lies the problem. Wang right now is the only pitcher in the rotation that can go 6+, but he got crushed yesterday. But 4/5 pitchers are 5-6 inning guys. The key to the Yankees season is the BP, there looking at pitching another 380 innings plus, and the way they have been pitching that could be the Achillies heal of the team.
  13. Besides Roja gets to stroll into town looking like a hero with everyone feeding his ego, he will make the NYY fans think he was coming to be the savior, when truthfully he was woreing himself out to make his wallet fatter. If he had such love for NY, he would have gone there last season. He wanted the most money plus he gets to look like a hero. Hes a self promoter just like Schilling. If he had come to Boston, he would have been a great pitcher coming to pitch in an already good rotation, now he gets top be a great pitcher joining a mash unit, which makes him the Ace of the staff.
  14. Everyone needs to stop having a knee jerk reaction to this hole Roja situation. See how it pans out then we will know if it was worth it or not. Its a mooooot point to try and think if it was a great move or not now.
  15. Holliday RF, Drew CF, Manny LF..... That could work... As far as who I would give up? Holliday might be one of the only players I might consider just about anyone would be avilable. One of the B's, Taveraz, and WMP plus maybe another prospect. It will beinteresting to see if there is a reaction by our FO after the Rocket landed in NY. I do think we need an impact bat to come in but I'm not sure who or what position. Lowell, Youk are hitting good, Lugo is decent, Pedroia is struggling so maybe there, but there isnt much out there for impact bats at 2B, Tek is hitting like s*** but theres no way the bring in a new Catcher at this point, Crisp looks to be coming around, our offense isnt great but I dont see them replacing anyone at this point, maybe they make a trade for a 5th starter and leave Lester in AAA all season. We will have to wait closer to the TDL before we know what we need and whos available.
  16. I kind of figured he end up in NY. I thought Houston might make a run at him but ive always said Boston was the 3rd horse in this 3 horse race. Theres no telling what you will get from him only time will tell and to bicker and fight with each other at this point is pointless. For the NYY fans I agree he cant be any worse then what youve been sending out there lately. But honestly I take Matsuzaka for 6 yrs at whatever it is 50M+ over Clemens at 1 yr 30M. I know its pro rated. GOM, you know me I like your post but to bring up Schilling being 1-1 against Lieber is a reach. Santanna lost to Zito in the PO, but I still take Santanna 10/10. Wasnt the 1 loss to lieber the game were he really fd his ankle up? With Clemens you get someone who might give you 6 innings, only time will tell. Its an improvment def from a quality stand point. But for the Yankees in all honesty to have a shot the need Wang and Moose to stay healthy. You also need somone to beable to get deeper into games and at this point you don't have that. Pettitte,Moose, and Clemens are all 6inning guys at this point in time(subject to change, not saying they wont eventually go deeper), Hughes is a 5-6 inning guy anymore then this and you will burn him up quick, hes to young to have to go 175 innings+. And as for your 5th guy I'm not even sure who that is at this point, but looking at all of that your BP is going to be in for a lot of work this summer, and this is were having all these old pitchers might come back to haunt you. Im not saying the Yankees wont be in contention, to do so is ignorant, but they do seem to have more ? this year then normal, if anything this should make for some good baseball, so lets all get along and sit back and enjoy!
  17. Your so money, you don't even know:thumbsup: (Swingers humor, have to see the movie to get it)
  18. I don't see the Sox offering Roja a 25M deal, the Yanks will and he will chase the money. I wouldn't mind seeing him pitch in the 5th spot, but not for that kind of money, my gut says he stays a whore and goes to the Yanks...
  19. Send TB and KC there, they don't draw anyone at home, You can't take a whole Yanks, Sox series from the season ticket holders...
  20. You realize there in 2nd place and 1.5 back right? And they just recently pulled off a 8 game winning streak. Bonds will never play for Boston, the move would make no sense at all.:thumbdown
  21. It is not too surprising Okajihma is pitching good, nobody has ever seen him before. that give him the advantage for first few times you face him. But that said he is pitching at a higher level then I expected and I hope he can keep it up for the whole season and the life of his contract.
  22. This is because hes not as good as everyone seems to think.
  23. The Yankees pitching is bad right now, we haven't seen anyone get smacked around this bad since Ike and Tina split......oh snap.......
  24. Anyone else notice that JT is matched up again with the other teams #1? 2 times vs Halladay, now Santanna, guy is getting a tuff deal on his nights to pitch.
