  1. But completely honest:D
  2. O wel, were in 1st place, let him figure it out, then anything he contributes will looked upon as a bonus, and help us pad our AL East lead.
  3. I'm a fan. Yes he has his bad moments, but he is the perfect kind of manager for this team and city. He's our version of Joe Torre( completely different managers tho). I hope Tito is around for a long time. He's alot better then some of the garbage we have had sitting in there. Atleast every once in awhile hes good for a laugh as well. Not to sure how I feel about him quitting chewing( I dip, Copenhagen Long Cut) No on likes a quitter!
  4. That wouldn't be the only thing leaking from me if Jessica Biel's bare ass was dancing infront of me...
  5. How the hell you figure Drew and Schmidt are a tie? Are you retarded? Ya Drew may have missed some games, but last I checked he is still playing an contributing to the team on occasion. Schmidt is done for the season and may never be the same. If Drew keeps missing games, we will beable to opt out after 3 yrs, thats makes the deal extremely less then the 70M it is now, so basically we got Drew for cheaper then Pierre and will get more out of him even if he is injured.
  6. I am sure he will spend the rest of this season, all of next season and the beginning of the following season in AA. No reason to bring him up to AAA before hes 23. Maybe the end of next season, but no sooner. A good season and a bit in AA will be good for him for development sake. With Beckett,Matsuzaka,Lester, and Buchholz likely to hold down the rotation for the next few years( barring injury, trade, ect). Theres only going to be 1 avaialbe spot in the rotation, likely to be filled by a Veteran. Bowden might claim the spot, but he might also become expendable in the right trade. Just throwing this out there, but say the Fish Hold on to Miggy until next season, Maybe the Sox( who will be looking for a 3B to replace Lowell, or an OF to eventually replace Manny) Put a package together front lined by Bowden. If he has a good year this year, and next at AA his value will be exttremely hi. Not sure who else you include, by any package involving Bowden to start is nice.
  7. I'don't know what too say. Maybe he needs his eyes checked or something. Seriously, there has to be something causing the just total in ability to hit. Crisp was exactly like this until recently. I mean right now I think he will turn it around and do better, only because I doubt he could be any worse. Maybe the AS break will be good for him, help him clear his head and get lassics( no idea how to spell it) laser eye surgery.
  8. That might be the dumbest trade i've seen in awhile. Hansen is only 23, and has great stuff, it just needs work. If Cincy wants to trade Arroyo, then you send a couple low level prospects and take on most of his contract.
  9. Good article over at bostonherald.com Basically says, ya it be nice to have Buherle, but we don't need him. Theo has the leverage of saying he doesn't really need to make an impact move at the deadline at this point. Which is completely true. If there has ever been a season where were not demanding some kind of move, it's this season. He also goes onto say that the Chisox will not be allowing a window for contract negotiations, and if this is reall the case then I'll pass. I don't want to see any of out top prospects shipped out to an AL rival for a 3 month rental. Because if he hits the FA market, he is most likely to go to St. Lous. Let the some other team rape there farm system for a 3 month rental( I for one hope the Yanks do it). Let them send Chamberlin and Kennedy and whoever else. I hope they get desperate enough ther dumb enough to trade Hughes. I know this is unlikely, but a guy can dream right?
  10. Get Buherle without giving up Buchholz, Bowden or Ellsbury. 08 rotation would be 1.Beckett 2.Matsuzaka 3.Buherle 4.Lester 5.Buchholz Let Wake retire, that way we can ditch Dougie. If Buchholz doesn't seem ready at the beginning of the season, you always have JT or another cheap veteran #5 starter.
  11. his batting avg is like less then.200, but his avg with runners in scoring position is like .340 something. I don't get it really. Can he only hit with runners on? We haveto stick with him. there won't be any better solutions next off season, besides maybe Arod... I saty with stick with him, bat him 9th and forget about him for now. The team is playing well enough at this point that we can hide him there and not be to effected by it.
  12. Matchup is a nice one! Lets Go Sox!
  13. Can we send him to AAA... This might be an all season thing, and we might have to hope for next yr. But its baseball, he could all the sudden get it, and get hot. We will have to see...
  14. Try to get a deal done without Buchholz, Bowden, and Ellsbury. If you can get a deal done like that(even tho is tould be resonably harder) you have to pull the trigger if hes willing to sign a contract extension they offer him.
  15. Saito has good numbers, but hes not int he class of Paps. saito has maybe 1-2 yrs of good baseball in him. If Paps stays healthy, he has many more seasons as a top shelf closer ahead of him. this alone makes him more valuable.
  16. I've never been a huge fan of Coco( well his batting skills anyway). I have backed him on his D tho. He's played a Gold Glove caliber D this season in CF. If he starts to hit like he did in Cleveland and pre injur 06 this can only be considered a bonus and I will enjoy it. Manny, as far as your hypothetical question goes, I would have to agree with BoSox, trade Crisp. If he continues to hit like this or somewhat close all season then we might beable to sell hi on him. Previously we would have been selling very low, like under the basement low. Ellsbury is the future in CF for the Sox. the only way you trade him is if your getting someone huge in return. A big time player, and young too. Like Sizemore, Santanna, you get the point.
  17. Ok, whatever it is hes still pitching quality games. Maybe its the whole routine. Okijihma hasn't had to change his neither has Saito. Not saying the routine in general is giving him trouble, but didn't he used to run and throw a ton between starts in Japan? maybe hes like Paps and when his arm is to rested he gets a little over amped and a little wild. I still say hes doing a great job, and should only get better.
  18. A. Jones will be way more expensive, and has lost a step, and his bat has disapperead. I'll take Jacoby at about 1% of the price.
  19. The strike zone in the MLB is about half the size of the strike zone in Japan. He struggling with walks, this is no surprise, he has to have time toadjust. Last year it was Beckett and his HR's. this year its Matsuzaka and BB's.No big deal, just imagine what they will be like next yr as a 1-2 punch.
  20. He's not being used as much this year, this is probably why hes not as sharp. But he still dominates.
  21. BSN07

    Soccer!

  22. MB is pretty much a younger version of Carl Everett. Decent baseball skills, horrible attitude, and if it wasn't for baseball, both would be dealing on the corner(no, not cause there black). Because there both morons. Remember when Carl used to bat with a tooth pick in his mouth? Who the hell does this! He was such a tool. Everytime I saw him all I could think of was him saying in his mind " I'm Carl Mother F'n Everett, Im a bad MFer."
  23. With the way Beckett has pitched this year, and the way Lowell has played the hot corner, we are def. the team as of right now that got the better end of the deal. But with Hanley being a perenial AS SS for the rest of his career, its close. And Sanchez is a decent prospect, hes nothing special.
