  1. Dougie makes contact!!!!!!!!
  2. Nice shot Jacoby!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. This ump sucks, catcher was set up outside, pitche completely misses his spot and gets the call. Hes called some very low strikes...
  4. JD has the same hole in his swing that Pai did when he 1st got to Boston. The low inside stuff. No Papi nails that, hopefully Drew learns it too.
  5. 3 yrs 15M for a completely D minded SS was too much. Yes the gave Lugo alot more but they thought they where getting a leadoff hitter, hes struggled but he will come around. For now its not hurting us too bad.
  6. Wake is more effective as a SP the a RP. Hopefully we win the WS this yr and he decides to go off into the sunset... Then we can boot dougie tot he curb, problem solved...
  7. Hes floating some up there. The wind is blowing out to left...
  8. Isnt dougie around to block the balls? What other purpose does he serve... I know im being hard on him but im tired of waisting a roster spot on him...
  9. Damn Ellsbury is fast.... I hate f***ing Doug Mirabelli..... I'll take someone who drops a few knucklers but looks coherant at the plate....

    Question

Hey guys, I have the mlb.tv package on my computer( only thing you can get in Europe). Is there a way to watch an minor league games? I'd like to watch Buchholz pitch, and some of the other guys as well but I'm not sure I can or how. Any info be welcomed, Thanks:thumbsup:
  11. Ya the play that he scored from 2nd was impressive. The catcher for Texas, said Ichiro doesn't score on that play and probably no other player in the league does either but maybe Crawford and that is saying something. Hes a great talent and I look forward to seeing him roaming CF in the future. Hes pretty young so there is still def time for his body to mature and he may gain some pop after a couple seasons in a Major League weight fitness program. I see him topping out as a 20 HR guy unless he really fills out which is a possibility. With his speed I think hes more of a comparable to Carl Crawford then Beltran or Damon. Beltran has way more pop in his bat then either Damon or Ellsbury. Crawford is a 20-25 hr guy that gets alot od doubles, triples and stolen bases. This is what I see Ellsbury bringing to the club more then power numbers.
  12. Melkman is more like his name implies, short and doughy.
  13. Need to look for a BP arm. If someone is willing to take Coco's contract and we can get a respectable player or two back for him then trade him. Same goes for WMP. I know Ellsbury has only played a few games, and I would rather he be more polished and spend more time in AAA, the fact is he has blazing speed, good D and good contact in hitting. He can be the CF and split time with either Crisp/WMP( trade the other), and come off the bench late as a PR and be a real asset to this team. Id like to see them add and experienced SP, but there not a whole lot available that won't cost you an arm and leg. Maybe Lester will look better after the AS break.
  14. I don't kno whats worse, being compared to Melky physically or being compared to his skill sets. Can't be good either way.
  15. LOL ok, but you see where I was coming from right?
  16. There doing the best thing possible for Hansen right now, and thats leaving him in the minors. Hansen has all the skills, and the pitching goods, he was rushed last yr because we needed arms. So that in turn messed him up in the head and killed his confidence. And the dumass pitching coach last yr tried to tweak his mechanics and screwed that all up and made it impossible for him to throw a decent slider. My slider is better then what Hansen was throwing last yr...
  17. Love the Family guy. Love the Sox. Our Ace is on the mound tonight, lets get him some runs and let him do the rest! Go Sox!
  18. This is the best time for this to happen. The Sox have a nice lead in the East, and the AS break is close. Even if he won't admit it, the extra rest can only help him. His problem with it i'm sure, is that this is going to show other teams some durability problems, which can only hurt him in this yrs FA market.
  19. he had a throwing session schedueled toady. Tito and the pitching coach where suppose to be there to watch.
  20. I was reading an article either at foxsports.comor espn.com. Saying after the series in SF, theres a god chance he signs there. Just thought id throw that out there. But in an answer to the thread, I say no, hes somewhere else next season. Signing for more moeny with the Yanks will only induce more pressure and critizm. And he doesn't want that.
