  1. LOL I hate the Yanks obviously being a Red Sox fan. But the Yanks are supposed to have a certain class I guess you would say. Hank cheapens that with every mouth turd he produces.
  2. But Gom, you yourself are wrong 90% ( )of the time as well. You two normally fight over two choices, then it ends up being a 3rd option that neither of you consider while trying to proove the other worng.
  3. You should fell lucky Hal is there to keep a leash on Hank.
  4. I could see Matsui going to someone like SF.
  5. Hank is a tool. What he has to say is meaningless. He has the attention span of a fish and the IQ of a small invertabrate. I hope he keeps chasing all those shiny objects and runs the Yanks into the ground.
  6. Hank says.... Does anyone care or buy what he says? What he has to say is as about as relevant as what Al Davis's babbles incoherently while sucking his lunch threw his straw.... So much for the Yankees being classier then everyone. Letting Manny come in with his dreads flowing, wouldn't that undermind what George preached for som many years? Looks like Hank doesn't care about any of that crap, just win baby win. Besides I don't think theres anyway he plays in NY. If he hated Boston, he will hate NY. Same pressure, same intensity yada yada yada. The only way Manny goes is if NY blows him out of the water will an offer of 3+ years for big time money.
  7. Not for the Yanks. If he is the Ace you guys want, he will test the market, and with the possibility of a better economy may recieve those offers from out West like he wanted. If he is crap, you guys will be stuck with him.
  8. To me this is nothing more then a 3 year deal. If the economy is in any better shape come the 3rd season he will test the market. If he sustains any kind of success over the next couple years, he will easily recieve a new 100M+ contract. And if not, he can just except the 90M+ left on his original deal.
  9. Wow, so the Yanks are only guranteed 3 years. The dreaded opt out. I can't believe Cashman gave him this. These do nothing for the organization. If he comes in and pitches well, he can hit the market again for more $. Or if he's oft injured or breaks down and sucks he can still pass on the opt out and be one of the highest paid pitchers.
  10. Because the story I read last night was that he was supposed to meet with SF at the End of the week to discuss an offer. You would figure if they did meet someone would have reported it somewhere. So since there isn't anything anywhere about them meeting, I just assumed they hadn't(unless SF had no interest from the get go).
  11. Sabathia's agents must have channeled Boras during the negotiations. They basically got the Yanks to bid against themselves. No one was going to come close to 140M. Now they are paying 160M. Way to show some back bone Cashman. Sabathia and his agents really bent Cashman over and aimed for penitration on this one. And Cashman still had to go to SF and convince CC's wife....
  12. Mij Nederlands is niet so goed. I'm a transplant, My girlfriend is from here. We met and in the States while she was ins chool and i followed her back here.
  13. Looks like a decnet discount from what was originally thought. This actually might help when offering Papelbon an extension when the time comes. He's comparable to Krod. Both won WS when they where young. There comaparable in production as well.
  14. Buster Olney reporting 7yrs/160M. Not 100% done. Has to pass physical. But there close to prelimanry agreement. That's huge. And the Yanks want 250M in public funding for their stadium
  15. Nope I believe those are reg. season stas. I got them from Mike and Mike, they had it up on the screen.
  16. Goedemiddag, waar woont u in Nederland?
  17. They aren't signing Burnett. The only long term deal might be Lowe. But if he won't take three years he's not coming. The Sox have too much pitching coming threw to sign iffy guys to long term big money. They may be in on some players like Burnett to drive up the price for others. CC is a good pitcher. but he doesn't trump Beckett. So it's not like we have to one up them for a SP. I see the Sox signing Tex as a counter if anything. I also think theres a very reasonable chance Penny will be in town on a 1 or 2 year deal. Unless someone goes grzy for him and offers 3+.
  18. CC vs Bos 2-4, 3.91 ERA, 35K-8BB, .260 BAA
  19. Take off those Yankees shades every once and awhile. You will be surprised what you see:thumbsup:
  20. He didn't have Manny hitting behind him either.
  21. Yes because Omar puts together such dominate teams
  22. My location saying Huizen, Netherlands didn't give it away? C'mon Gom
