  1. I totally admit I went to some whack website that claimed to have a converter and just punched in the date and time and that's what I got. i figured if it was wrong someone point it out haha
  2. Fred you can't sell on someone because of two starts against any team. You need to look at the whole body of work and if you do that Morales reveals himself to be a decent option to start if needed. By this logic Ciriaco is the best SS in baseball.
  3. And we are disagreeing with you. .310/.404/.510 looks good anywhere.
  4. shaving(not hitting) Holland's mustache off with a line drive would be pretty awesome
  5. haha those numbers at C might make him the top prospect in all of baseball
  6. Oh good, I was beginning to question my sanity there for a second
  7. He's a top 10 prospect with his bat alone. The fact he is sticking to SS is gravy and probably shoots him near to or in the top 5.
  8. Yes, Yes I did. TEX: Holland, D (5-2, 2.81) vs BOS: Lester (6-2, 3.53) Lineups to follow as soon as VA has her coffee
  9. It said 8 the first time I read it, weird..
  10. haha well if the Mocks you've been reading have the Sox selecting #8 then it's hard to take it seriously Stewart would be a nice pick up as well. In a perfect world I'd love to see Bryant fall to the Sox, but it ain't happening. This is where trading draft picks to move up in the draft would make the entire draft more interesting.
  11. He would probably have to slide. A lot of mocks have him going to the Twins at 4. But if he's there the general consensus is the Sox would take him. He also has college in his back pocket and that scares some teams off. Plus he's the youngest so inherently the furthest from MLB ready. There are a few guys at the top of the boards that are expected to be in the majors within the next year or two and Frazier may be a longer term development.
  12. They say he will go in the middle rounds(he's coming out of High School) last thing I read was the Sox weren't interested. He's a decent prospect but if he wants to get drafted higher he will have to go to College probably.

  14. It's finally here! I admit I'm much more interested in the draft this season for obvious reasons(Red Sox #7) and have been following it much more closely. The top of the Draft is a big ? with Appel's likely demands, Gray's Adderall connection(I think if Houston drafts a pitcher it's him because he will come at a discounted price now) or go with the top hitter and the seemingly safest pick in San Diego's Kris Bryant. I'm guessing the Sox select Clint Frazier(HS OF, arguably the best all around position player in the draft) or Colin Moran(3B North Carolina, Bat is close to MLB ready now but no tool really jumps off the board).
  15. Because until this season(his age 20 season) he was a ? mark at staying at SS. I know Harper and Trout made it look easy but cracking the top 10 MLB prospects as a teenager is actually pretty hard to do.
  16. No way in hell a the Cubs get a Bradley type prospect for Garza and his 4 months of control. The guy has had an arm injury that has kept him out almost a full calender year. If some team gives up a top 5 prospect from their system, they are morons.
  17. That should put an end to that lol
  18. Exactly. With his injury history he's barley an upgrade over Lackey imo. I don't see the Sox getting anyone that is signed beyond this season. Mostly because I don't see them giving up on Doubront yet and he be the logical man out if someone else was brought in unless they are eating Lackey or Dempsters deal, and that doesn't seem likely.
  19. I went to the Angels series last summer and the size and speed of Mike Trout still stands out in my mind, dude was fun to watch.
  20. Any SP that's worth a top SP prospect + Doubront is probably not available imo.
  21. He hasn't been that good lately so if his playing time disappears it's not a big deal. I'm guessing Ells is gonna hit the DL here shortly retroactive back to the date he was injured, so Carp probably gets the same amount of PT he's been getting for another week and a half.
  22. Ok peeps let's steer this one back towards the topic at hand. I think the obvious choice is to DFA Ciriaco(he has no options left for those who have been saying "send him down"). There's a decent chance he clears waivers but they are going to have to be prepared to lose him. I think they have to play Iggy until his bubble bursts(as much as I'd like to believe he has morphed into an above average hitter, I'm not totally sold). What the means for Drew I'm not sure. Is it nonsense to think he could become the Utility guys playing 1-2 games a week at SS and 1-2 games against RHP at 3B? Pedey could use some rest but I don't see him sitting once a week for the whole season, so not sure how many AB's he get @ 2B. I just figure keeping it simple for the young better SS would best. Either way Iggy should be on the team and playing even after WMB comes back.
  23. For me it's all about how much he would cost in terms of prospects going to philly and how much $ the Sox would be on the hook for. If it's reasonable then go for it. But if it costs any of Bradley, Bogaerts, Webster, De Le Rosa, Barnes or requires the team to activate the '15 option, thus being on the hook for 3/75M, then I'd pass.
  24. http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2013/5/28/4372526/mlb-2013-draft-consensus-mock-draft-list This one takes a few different mock drafts and adds them together for a semi consensus mock draft of sorts. Has the Red Sox taking Frazier.
  25. I think for the season they can go with what they have(although I'm not opposed to them going and getting someone if it doesn't involve certain prospects) right now. But with enough injury history and young guys hitting limits late in the season I can understand why some feel the team needs to add someone. I'm not really interested in Garza at all if it means any good prospects going back to Chicago. I honestly think he stays in Chicago the whole season and accepts a qualifying offer to rebuild his value or Chicago lets him walk and collects a pick(it's not out of the realm of possibility some team gives him a multi year offer). Point being they probably can get more holding onto him this year then trading him. Someone is gonna have to be pretty desperate to send any good prospects to ChC for a guy thats been injured for almost a year.
