  1. Like I said, for a power P coming of a major arm surgery accuracy can take some time to recover.
  2. Ya I just saw that, this is why I'm not a GM
  3. I'd rather have Sanchez and Myers
  4. Will Myers is getting promoted to the Majors for the Rays vs Red Sox series. Lester has def helped the team where it is today but if Myers comes up racking I'm gonna wish even more they had traded Lester to KC last off season hahaha
  5. I think it started as mechanical and then got mental after a couple bad starts. Some pitchers are able to pitch at least average when they are going through issues during a season. Seems Lester just falls right off a cliff.
  6. It's not that surprising for a young fireballer pitching with a new elbow.
  7. Gallardo is interesting but his FB velocity has fallen off(I don't have the stats but a Brewers game was on here earlier this week and it's something the commentators were discussing). I wouldn't mind him but NWIH for RDLR. Gallardo has enough ? for me to want to pass if it cost any of the close to MLB ready P's. If you can get him for a lower level SP and a position prospect like maybe Brentz or something, then the risk becomes palatable. Of course I have no idea what the Brewers would take for him.
  8. If I included P on my list it probably look about the same as yours.
  9. haha damn that was a bomb Lf'er never even moved
  10. Probably not. But he most likely means it about Hamels. The other two will be available but he's gonna have to be blown away to move them. I have no interest in overpaying for either one.
  11. There is no one in the league I'd feel 100% ok trading him for other then Harper, Trout, Puig or Machado(none of those are happening). I'd never trade a prospect of his value for pitching. It's just too risky. For me Bogaerts is the definition of untouchable. Can anyone imagine if the O's traded Machado last season for some SP help since they were contending? The answer should be no. That's the same dilemma the SOx face this season. And I hope they make the same decision.
  12. 20th best? lol That would be a lot in my opinion. It's going to be some AA-AAA utility player with options.
  13. Bogaerts has a legit shot at a September call up. I'd be surprised to see him any earlier. Whether it's this year or next, Bogaerts isn't too far off even at his young age. He still needs to perform at AAA though.
  14. I predicted they be a playoff team and still think they will be. When they are playing good they are one of the better teams in the Majors. When they are off it's kind of ugly. But they seem to be on more then off and have racked up a good amount of series wins thus far. Whether they take the division or not, it's still to far out to say. We have seen major collapses and epic comebacks in September across the Majors recently. All we can hope for is that the division is within reach come September and go from there.
  15. From what I've read so far, the guy is supposed to be almost MLB ready. Maybe he's an option to bolster the rotation. At least he won't cost prospects and 25M a year.
  16. The end of 2013 would be a stretch, I admit that. But Webster would probably be close.
  17. It's gonna be on Lester. I think the Sox will come up with an offer and if he wants more they will let him walk, collect a pick, save the money and move on.
  18. Are you serious? When Drew was signed Iggy was a huuuuuge ?. The fact the Iggy has finally shown he's capable with the bat does not make the Drew signing bad.
  19. Why do they have to replace him with a free agent? It is possible to replace from within the organization. They have probably 4-6 guys near or MLB ready by the end of 2014. I don't think it's hard to believe one of them could step into replace Lester as well as Dempster. This is why drafting and developing SP is so important. You don't have to worry about who's gonna be available on the open market.
  20. Ciracio got DFA'd, not shocked, most saw this coming.
  21. I agree for the most part with UN, if it's a Weaver type deal then fine, if he wants 100M + let him walk. I love Lester but I don't think giving any pitcher 100M for their 30-35 years is a good idea. I think they should go to him this off season, find out what it's gonna take and make their choice. If he's signable do it, if he's not cash in and trade him. If he continues the rest of the season as he is now he will be worth likely more the Shields being a LHP.
  22. Wait I thought the Sox cut bait with him after 3 bad starts in April? lol
  23. I like Buck, can't stand the drooling gasbag that sits next to him. He's Joe Morgan bad in my book.
  24. Cafardo and now McCarver... Worst double header commentary ever.... McCarver is the absolute worst, just babbles non stop about nothing and forgets what he's talking about half the time.
