  1. I'm going with Seattle. Griffey coming back might be the spark the ball club needs. If Felix hits his stride and Bedard bounces back that's a very strong 1-2 punch. It's Beltre's contract year, and we all know what that sometimes brings out in a player. But they are most certainly a longshot. They need a lot of players to step up and play to their capabilities. But if the right pieces fall they could have a shot.
  2. I saw that he was going to be placed on waivers. I think if it is worth a shot for sure. There best prospect at 3B is Alamanzar, and he is probably 3+ years out. If they can straighten him out, he would be a nice insurance policy for Lowell.
  3. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/rankings/top-100-prospects/2009/267698.html Sox Highest Prospect is Lars Anderson at #17. Also making the top 100 from the Sox, are Bowden(83), and Bard(98). Yankees Making the list, Austin Jackson(36), Jesus Montero(38), Andrew Brackman(92).
  4. Continue? How about starting to churn out good RP. The best RP the team has brought along, is now in the starting rotation. I mean he will most likely end up in the Pen if he can't stay healthy, but he's a SP now. Besides him who the hell else have they brought in that's had consistent success? I'm gonna have to agree with Gom on this one. If the Yankees PR machine was a porn star, you'd be the fluffer getting them ready before the big scene.
  5. :wtf: Thank you for using my argument against me... This is for you JE:D
  6. You can't use "waste of money" as an excuse for the Yankees not seeking a player. If there is any team that is willing to gamble big money on someone, it is the Yankees.
  7. Like I said before, not trying to be a downer but I still say there is a very good chance at Papelbon pitching in NY. If Mo retires, Joba stays in the rotation, they will be looking for a CP. I don't see the Yankees balking at paying him 15M+ a year either. Something I don't see the Sox doing.
  8. Couldn't have put it better myself
  9. He will be in the booth/ on set or on the Senior PGA tour.
  10. #85 Can he be anymore of a tool?
  11. I'm 26 and I have lower back problems. It sucks. It most certainly hinders my play on the field. But I'm not sure I'd be ready to risk surgery at this point. Maybe down the line somewhere I would give it more consideration. But from what I've read and heard, it does seem the technology is getting better for these types of injuries. Just like an other medical practice there is going to be bumps in the road. But eventually most things become routine, and the risk greatly subsides, while the success grows exponentially.
  12. I tend to think this as well. Love the hunting dog reference:thumbsup:
  13. That story about Pedroia is hilarious:lol:
  14. 50M is a good minimum. I wouldn't mind if they went close to 100M on the upper end. BTW I'd love to see the Yanks try and get under a salary cap where Arod might account for 27% of the total payroll, if not more:lol:
  15. Or Jody Reed.....
  16. Looks better on him then it did on David Wells:lol:
  17. Can't argue with that.
  18. I wouldn't be shocked if he was a user.
  19. I think there should be a cap, where there is a minimum and a maximum that has to be spent on the team.
  20. Johnny Damon made a complete ass of himself. It was so painful to listen to, but so funny. http://www.fanhouse.com/videos/video/tagmlb/yanks-react-to-arods-press-conference/3617064394;jsessionid=2E7DC4CB6ECC17C58114C015BEE404BA "He didn't do any crime"...... Pretty sure what he did was illegal At least Arod didn't murder anyone:lol:
  21. I can't see how anyone on the Mets team can talk any sort of trash. Especially after the last 2 seasons. Mets players should be silent and concentrated on the task at hand. Not worrying about what Cole Hamels is doing.
