Ya I see that now. After my post's I read a couple newer articles stating that.
Oh well, if the Yanks give him the $ he wants, theres no telling which Manny they will get. If they sign him at a discount, there is a chance he turns into "whiny, spoiled Manny". I don't see anyone getting the "LA Manny". He was playing for a paycheck, and when he gets it I think you see him return to "run when I feel like it Manny".
There no way(IMO) he plays the rest of his career at the intensity he took to LA last season. And I think teams know that. Thats why there not giving him the guaranteed years, but giving him obtainable option years instead. They know if that carrot isn't dangling in front of him, theres no telling what they will get in return.
