  1. I hate Swisher so much...I hope he would have realized he was picked off and punched himself in the face. Hard. What a douche.
  2. I really don't understand Girardi, I must admit, and I've been one of his biggest advocates. He is switching pitchers like crazy, but doing nothing with the hitters. Why not put in Hairston for Swisher? Why not put in Gardner for Melky [who cares about the lefty-righty ********]? Why not put in Molina and DH Posada if Matsui is slumping? I don't get it. I really don't. I really hope to see Gardner in for game 5 for any OF [take your pick, really] and Posada as the DH.
  3. You had a TV 13 years ago? Really?
  4. Step one: Get a floating door. Step two: Learn to swim. Let me know when you get done with the first two steps.
  5. Ignorance. I have cousins who are blue eyed, and cousins who are black. They are all arabic. I just thank God every day I don't have Dominican cousins. I'd kill myself then. Forget marriage licenses, just keep them out of here completely.
  6. You need the handicap my friend. No matter what...I win. I always win. It's my job, it's what I do.
  7. They pretty much do, you must admit. 2 blips in 90+ years not-withstanding.
  8. Wanna bet? I'd do it just to spite you.
  9. You guys are debating players who aren't even up here and probably won't be. It's like debating who'd be better than bed, Megan Fox or Jessica Biel. It's not like either of you would ever know.
  10. Check yo' self, fool! Before I moves in on yo shorty!
  11. Who gives a s***?
  12. Really? How did you feel in 2004? How about the bonehead move of playing the infield in for Luis Gonzalez? I admit, his over-managing is ridiculous.
  13. Girardi looks like he's searching for the guy who can't do the job. He is seriously overmanaging.
  14. What I don't understand is....why can't it be both? Arod wanted to get top dollar. He went to Texas and couldn't endure last place. He manuevered a trade, first to Boston and then to New York. He opted out of NY and realized it was a big mistake as he took a huge P.R. hit and coupled with the fact that he would make less money in what could have been the worst contract move a player made since Juan Gonzalez. The Yankees allowed him to save face. I don't see why a player can't factor both in to varying degrees. I'm guessing a bit here, since I've never been in the same situation, but if I was a player I'd want win and make money. Would I take less to play for a contender? It depends. How much money have I made in my career? How old am I? Is this the last contract of my career? What's best for my family? To try to figure out what goes through a persons head when you don't know that person is arrogant and foolhardy.
  15. Don't worry buddy. I stir up enough s*** on here as the greatest Yankee fan to ever grace this board.
  16. J_E....you are being owned by Jacko (and 228). Badly.
  17. Wow 26...probably the best post you ever had. Take that, TalkSox bitches. Especially you Emmz...you got spanked. Hard. With a paddle. Bent over a knee. Naked. Ok, it's time to stop.
  18. In my opinion, it does. We can agree to disagree. The fact that the Yankees basically controlled 1/4 of the American League and that it coincided with their dynastic run in the 50's and then their subsequent collapse when Finley bought the team and their talent pool dried up is more than a coincidence. To me, collusion is much worse than money. Explain to me why Holliday wants to play for the Yankees first, and then the Mets. The Yankees, yes, you can cite money. The Mets? Why come to a team that is terrible? Mismanaged. Maybe...just maybe, he wants to play in NEW YORK. How come he didn't list Boston, or Philly, or LA? If anything, this is not all that bad for Boston. This all but assures Bay coming back to Boston, and the loss of Matsui/Damon. Matsui will be lucky to break 8 million, and Damon will be hard pressed to break 10. Would I rather have both Matsui and Damon instead of Holliday? Absolutely. I'd rather sign Matsui for 5-6 million [look at Abreu and Dunn's contract], let Damon walk, and use the money for another starting pitcher.
  19. I love how everyone is saying Burnett. The Braves offered him less than 2 million less over 5 years. Who knows...maybe, just maybe...he wanted to pitch in New York. Perish the thought.
  20. Because I'm not stupid, I'll cut and paste from Wikipedia about Arnold Johnson. Here's the quote: If you want more, buy this book from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Kansas-City-Wrong-Half-Yankees/dp/0977743659 I don't. Neither did you in 2004 and 2007. It will take someone much smarter than you to change my outlook. I f***ING LOVE IT!!!!!
  21. Don't get me started on the sweat on your ass on a hot summer day, girl.
  22. I want to trade TO. Look at my team and make a fair offer please. I have no idea what I need.
  23. I never claimed that my team did not have an advantage. Only an idiot would disagree. Where was this complaining when you guys bought the 2007 championship with $200 million to sign Drew, Dice, and Lugo? Not there. You have a lot of balls writing about PEDs, considering your two biggest hitters were juicing. You know who never got caught juicing? Jeter, Posada, Mo, Bernie, and Rivera. How about the Sox? You are a second-tier team without Manny and Ortiz. At least Manny was a great hitter before. I doubt Ortiz ever hit a homerun when he wasn't juiced. He was about to be cut before he had a "miraculous" turn around. Fact is, the Red Sox won their only championships in 100 years by 1) Their biggest stars cheating and 2) Buying players. The truth is, we do #2 better than anyone. You do #1 better than anyone, or at least your team did. I don't make the system. Neither do the Yankees. Once and for all...the owners spend the money rather than put it in their pocket to put a winning team on the field. You want to blame Cashman or the Steinbrenners? Wake up. Your gripes should be directed towards Selig and the MLBPA. They are playing within the rules. You really want the Yankees to say "hey...we need to curb our spending so other teams can win"? If you think this is a new thing...well, go look up baseball history, and check the relationship between the Yankees and Kansas City in the 50s and 60s. It makes what Steinbrenner does look like childs play. Sour grapes from a Red Sox fan....how original. How unique.
  24. That was a good one. I must admit, I laughed for about three minutes after I read that one.
