Hard to argue with success. However considering how effective Hughes and Melky were in the post-season he still should have made the deal. The real test will come this off-season. The Yankees will have tough questions on a starter as well as what to do with Damon and Matsui.

Unbelievable night. It started off with me bringing the wrong ticket to the game and it ended with our championship. It's the first time I saw a World Series clincher for the Yankees at home.

Well...here we go to Game Six. If someone told me they'd come back up 3-2, I'd be happy. Also, the one game they lost was started by AJ, who won't be seen unless it's an emergency Game 7 relief. Both CC and Lee were hit the second time around, but I'll take my chances with short rest for Andy and CC against a rested Pedro or Hamels/Happ at Yankee stadium. Yankees show they are Pedro's Daddy. Again.

Personally, I would let the Red Sox go after Holliday and Gonzo, and I would throw the kitchen sink at Lackey. A rotation that would include CC, AJ, Pettitte, Lackey and a competition for the fifth spot between Wang, Hughes and Chamberlain...they just might threaten the Mariners record for wins in a season.
