  1. Definitely. Rivera, Posada, Jeter, Bernie...nah, none of them ever wanted to be Yankees. They all wanted to be Red Sox. Just like Mo Vaughn, Wade Boggs, Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, Manny Ramirez....all superstars on your team who couldn't wait to get the f*** out of there. Say what you want about payroll, and you're probably right. As an organization, over the last 30 years, don't compare the two. It's embarrassing to your team.
  2. I presume this post is not about me and the rest of the bleacher creatures.
  3. That call was a joke. A complete and utter joke. As a Yankee fan, I was embarrassed.
  4. What a f***ing post-season so far. I've seen two classic games out of four. Unreal. Some notes from the stadium.... 1) This was the COLDEST game I've been to. It was brutally cold. 2) I've always been an Arod fan, and I hate the haters...and he finally put this s*** to bed. When he came up in the 9th, for the first time, I expected him to do something. When he came up with the bases loaded in extra innings, the stadium went nuts. I remember thinking "this is all this guy ever wanted, and he finally got it". The stadium showered him with cheers, and when he flied out to Hunter...nothing. Not a single boo, nothing. f***ing finally. 3) That non-double play call was a joke and an embarrassment. I was hoping that the Yankees would not win on that play, because that was a joke. I am glad that in the big picture, that play did not have a direct impact on the outcome of the game. 4) Girardi keeps burning his relievers...and I worry it will cost him one game. 5) Considering how many closers s*** the bed this post-season [Nathan, Papelbon, Madsen, Street, and now Fuentes], it is amazing how Rivera does it game in game out, year in, year out...and is the best of all time. 6) Did I mention it was really f***ing cold?
  5. I think it's really funny that you guys think you'll get Felix. Why on earth would the Mariners would trade him? He's very young, and already a dominant pitcher. Felix is the kind of player that the Mariners would build around. I find it nearly impossible that the Mariners would trade him, they were probably just bored and let Theo run around. If I was the Mariners GM I wouldn't trade him for anyone in baseball. Now...Halladay...that's a completely different story.
  6. Damn...it was f***ing cold today. Really nice performance by CC today. A well executed game from the Yankees stand point, but not overly exciting. It was real good to see some of my friends who flew up for second round.
  7. Nothing beats a Red Sox off-season thread the first week of October.
  8. f*** this s***.
  9. I hate this weather. I should have sold my tickets and watched from home, nice and comfy and warm. f***.
  10. I forgot it's something you can do when you have disposable income. Forgot you know nothing about that. Wow dude...that was really cold. I'm not sure if that was funny or not. :dunno: On that note...I'm out for a much needed beer of three. See you late night or tomorrow.
  11. Don't hate the playa, hate the game. I'm just biding my time for Emmz... Remember Dipre...I can fly a lot farther with my sky miles than you can float on your door.
  12. Gom

    hello

    As your hated enemy....welcome.
  13. That was good. I have to admit. Still, Emmz doesn't want a cheeseburger maker. At least I can take her places. Like your diner.
  14. I didn't say that. What I said was that in my eyes...you can do no wrong. You can't swim that far.
  15. Dude... Emmz is the apple of my eye. If she claimed the world was flat, I'd believe her. If you claimed it, you'd be a dumbass. Well...you are a dumbass...so I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same.
  16. Yankees in 7.
  17. Emmz.... I second your thoughts. Come to think of it....since you're an adorable female...I'll pretty much agree with anything you say or do. Woe is me....
  18. I think you're way off here. As a Yankee fan, I feared the Drug Duo, Ortiz and Manny. Those two guys alone changed the complexion of every game. Now who do you have that scares someone? Youkilis...is a very good player, but he can't hold a candle to Manny or Ortiz in their injecting days. Truth be told...the Red Sox remind me in a way of the old Yankees...a lot of solid, good players. However, they aren't as good as the Yankee core [offensively] and none of them were the go-to guys. Manny and Ortiz were the pulse of the team, and when they ceased being dominant, so did your team.
  19. I could use a WR ORS. Look at my team and help me figure it out. I don't know s*** about football.
  20. As if the Yankees and Angels and Dodgers will sit back and let this happen without getting involved. Get real.
  21. I can't see Lackey leaving LA.
  22. The article is great, but that duo, probably the most fearsome duo in decades, was fueled by PEDs. At least Manny was a great hitter before roids. Ortiz was below average player before and after the juice. During the juice, he was amazing.
  23. All well and good, Jacko, but I think the contract values are a little high. This is in a really bad economic climate, so when you see players like Abreu sign for 5 million, how do you justify 16 for Bay and 17-18 for Holliday? You don't, my good man.
