  1. Yup...desperate for a hot woman....even if she is a Sox fan. GIGGITY!
  2. Either that, or this is a career year for him. It's one or the other.
  3. Could that guy be more stupid? Holy s***...he believes the back three of the Devil Rays is equivalent to the back three of the Orioles. Hey idiot, do you realize that EVERY SINGLE MATCHUP, 1v1, 2v2, etc., is in the Orioles favor? How did your genetic configuration survive evolution? That had to be as dumb a post as I have ever seen. I am actually shocked that someone posted the numbers that he did, and then made THE COUNTER ARGUMENT. Oh my God, I have seen it all.
  4. What Clemens did to Piazza should have gotten him thrown out of the game. No question about it, the umpires dropped the ball BIG TIME on that one. Unlike most of the people here, if my team does wrong, or the players on my team do something wrong, I call them out on it. I hated Pedro [because he was as good as I had ever seen], but I loved the fact that he drilled you if you got out of line. I like intimidating pitchers. The hitters get away with way too much these days. Jeter, one of my favorite players of all time, has made a career out of diving into pitches. He would not have been able to do that 30-40 years ago. The game has changed. What should have happened was Manny should have been drilled right after that. Here are some other people who agree with my point. Some of them know a thing or two about baseball: Bob Gibson used to say that the batters box belonged to the hitter. However, the space between the batters box and the plate was his house, and he didn't want people to come to his house uninvited. "Barry Bonds? I'll tell you what, if he hit a home run off (Bob) Gibson or (Don) Drysdale and stood and admired it, they'd knock that earring out of his ear the next time up." - National League Umpire Doug Harvey
  5. Vegas has this one as a toss-up. Good call Jacko.
  6. First of all, the Orioles are +7 in run differential, they are much better than their record, which is well under .500. Bedard is the best pitcher in the AL East, Guthrie is very solid, and Cabrera might just have the best stuff of the three....very capable of shutting anyone down, and just as likely to be out of the game in the first 3 innings. Figures ORS would think the Orioles and Tampa Bay are similar. Any other garbage you got floating in your head? That being said, I fear the Orioles right now more than the Tigers or the Red Sox. They seem to have our number.
  7. Halliday was the best pitcher in the AL East last year. Wang was second best, barely. Remember, this was said last year, and Beckett had one good year and one bad year. Let's see how he does next year.
  8. Baltimore is a good young team with solid starting pitching. Tampa Bay? Please.
  9. To tell you the truth, I am deathly scared of Baltimore. I fear them a shitload more than I fear your team. Say what you want, but they took four of six from the both of us in six straight games. I would be scared of them if I was you as well.
  10. You know, if he watched it, he deserves to get drilled. I can't really tell from the highlight..I saw him take two steps, and the camera angle shifted. Milestone homeruns, I understand. They're not about showing someone up, they're about that player's accomplishment. You aren't showing up a pitcher when your team is down 7-1 and you hit a career milestone homerun.
  11. Thank God someone understands how the game is PLAYED. You know Clemens would have drilled him.
  12. It's all comedy. You outscored the Devil Rays by three runs in three games, and five of your runs came when you were pretty much out of the game and trailing by six runs. Yup...comedy.
  13. Tell you the truth, Pettitte is our hottest pitcher. Truth be told, this is not the old Yankees team they will be facing. Our kiddie bullpen corps seems to be solid so far. They went to Boston and could only get a split. These Yankees aren't the pathetic sticks the Sox are. It comes down to the next seven games. We have 3 in Anaheim and 4 in Detroit. The Red Sox have 3 in Tampa and 4 in Chicago. If we gain even one game, we win the division. I'm seriously hoping we don't lose ground. I'll take 4-3 in a heartbeat.
  14. LOL! This is true. The truth is, Manny should have been hit after that. The best way to get players to stop showboating is to hit the guy after him.
  15. Holy s***...Gagne with 3 K's...I eat my words about live batting practice. Not about JD Drew though, lol.
  16. Because I'm a Yankee fan, and I love reminding you about how bad this signing was/is when it first happened?
  17. How does that Abreu and Drew comparison look now? Don't worry Boston fans. You only have him for 4 more years at 56 million. What a waste. Gagne in....I haven't seen live batting practice in a while.
  18. Looks like your lead is down to 4. I love it! I may have spoken too soon. 1st & 2nd, no out for you guys. f***.
  19. Way to go Betemit! Bases clearing double, 9-3 Yankees. We win another series. Looks like Boston is going to lose this one, their lead down to 4, and they are heading to Tampa Bay, where they will fall apart and lose two of three. By the time we get to Boston, that lead will be down to two. [i can hope, at least].
