  1. I think Fred wanted to retire from GTs undefeated.
  2. We should see what the Mets want for Gee or Niese.
  3. Buch can't pitch out of the pen and Miley and Porcello have long term contracts. They can't throw in the towel on them yet.
  4. Agreed. Get Johnson up here. Start Barnes. Put Masterson and Kelly in the Pen
  5. Ben did a great job with the pitching. He got the best guys available and he locked 2 of them up for multiple years. You can't blame Ben for this s*** show. All the good pitchers were already taken by the other GMs-- lucky bastards.
  6. Danny Devito was a burner when he was young.
  7. Buchholz made 28 starts last season -- the second most of his career and he sucked. Why would we expect him to be good last year?
  8. Just another criticize the poster post from UN. Color me surprised. I guess that he has to find a way to channel his his burning hot hatred.
  9. Unbelievable. This game closed to the public must be unprecedented. It will be very strange.
  10. You got mocked for the thread about the rotation being the worst in 10 years, but it is playing out in the early part of the season. You were accused of trolling, but the question was very legitimate, and the SP performance is bearing that out.
  11. Iortiz has a pretty good track record with betting. He's not putting the money up to blow it. He's putting it up to make more money. LOL!!
  12. Yep. Maybe his replacement will be an all time great and Salty will be the new Wally Pipp. Lesson to be learned, when you sort of suck at a very high paying job, you should never take time off. LOL!! He can cry all the way to the bank.
  13. It is a point in time snapshot. It is meant to look back at the results after more information is available.
  14. That's not hate. Them's just the facts. He is not a good catcher. He can't throw and he strikes out at alarming rate. On the positive side, he is tall.
  15. I just figured that more family time was more important to him.
  16. Who hates Salty? I am happy for him. He invoked his Union right to paid paternity leave and now he will get a lot of time to spend with the baby, and still cash his checks. Win win for him.
  17. The pen has been fine. Ogando has been a great addition. When healthy, he has good stuff and he can pitch.
  18. True. If the guy can show consistency, that would be a good thing to have, but I would have waited a month or 2 to see how he adjusted to the AL.
  19. I think everyone knows where - stand on the issue. Mediocre bottom of the rotation guys are plentiful -- a dime a dozen. THere is no need to commit long term to the guy.
