  1. A couple of runs would be nice to lock down the game.
  2. Burleson mentioned that Remy is sick. What are the reports?
  3. I have seriously had it with the cheap shot sniping tactics.
  4. These uniforms really bring back memories for me of the 1974 to 1979 seasons.
  5. Is there anyone else available at this time with experience?
  6. Salty has been released. The Marlins could not find a trade partner, and reportedly it is a certainty that he will clear waivers. Bringing him bac might not be a bad idea. He can strap on the equipment for 100 games.
  7. He's not building any velocity. That has to concern the organization.
  8. When he had the hot start in2013, I was hoping to get a full season of around 180 innings out of him to build his trade value and get a haul of prospects for the last 2 years of his contract, but he couldn't stay healthy. He has stunk since then. He's a drag on the rotation, and I am not sure that he can turn it around.
  9. The Nats might be willing to move Jordan Zimmerman for a guy that can field in the IF. Their SS is a disaster.
  10. Unfortunately, this ship of fools called a rotation have remained healthy. I wouldn't mind if a couple if them ran into a wall.
  11. I can't believe that I am posting this, but they should probably bring back Salty. They can't stick with catching Leon half the games. The guy is a blackhole in the lineup and his catching is not helping much right now. We don't want to ruin Swihart's confidence and bust another prospect. Salty could be a good move.
  12. Napoli is performing like the Sleep Apnea surgery didn't work. The first base job is on a platter for Allen Craig who has done nothing to warrant additional playing time. Instead of winning the job, he is playing himself off the roster.
  13. It could inject some energy into the team and give the pitchers a sense of urgency.
  14. Agreed. I was referring to the pitching, but failed to specify. As for the hitting, I hope Hanley gets back soon. We need some big run production to win ocassionally while the pitching is stinking like this. Right now, we are running out a lineup with Napoli hitting under .200, and our catchers and Craig and Nava are all hitting below the Mendoza line. We need Hanley big time to produce some runs with Pedroia and Ortiz and Panda.
  15. The starting pitching is a total s*** show. There's no if, what's and buts about it. I hold no comfort in the fact that the sttats indicate that they shouldn't stay this bad. It's not a big help if the pitching is 20th out of 30 teams instead of dead last. That too will be a horror show, and they will have to work their asses of to get to that point.
  16. We have to hope they turn things around before things start spiraling toward the drain.
  17. Don't jump yet Spud. Things are never as bad as they look when a team is playing like this. We will not have 3 starters hitting under .200. The starting pitching will not have a 5.63 ERA. Plus, the rest of the division is a pile of manure.
  18. A month ago people were abused for holding the same opinion. It's a collection of mediocrity and it is unravelling much quicker than I had anticipated.
  19. How many guys do we have hitting under .200? Jeesh!
