They need to climb about 10 spots on that list to have any hope of hovering around .500 and remaining competitive. If the pitching remains last in ERA into the latter part of June, mid- season pitching acquisitions will not be a consideration.
The Red Sox own the worst ERA in baseball-- dead last out of 30 teams. There is nothing positive to take from that. There is no silver lining to that story and there are no excuses.
Ben did a great job with the pitching. He got the best guys available and he locked 2 of them up for multiple years. You can't blame Ben for this s*** show. All the good pitchers were already taken by the other GMs-- lucky bastards.
