    Our pitching is great! What is all this hub bub? Softball leagues all over the country envy our pitching staff. We couldn't have a better staff. Ignore those numbers showing us at the bottom of the heap in ERA. It's a mirage.

    israel, this is the best that we could have expected in 2015. Ben did the best job humanly possible. There were no better options available to him. The other GMs were just lucky putting together better team. They couldn't have done any better than Ben.

    If we continue to ride with this pitching, we will stay in last place even though our hitting during June has been productive. We are getting a lot more hits and baserunners recently. It's the pitching. There is no talent there. The hitting did slump early, but the hitting is talented, and talent will always come out. Our pitching is a mediocre collection. There is no talent there beyond the kid ER and the good Buchholz -- and he can disappear at any time.

    On the NESN post game show the other night, Steve Lyon's described one of our pitcher's stuff as "throwing puss". That is my line. Lol! I don't know any commentator or poster that uses that description. Maybe Steve lurks on TalkSox. Steve, if you need some material, I'd be happy to oblige. Lol! Drop me a private message. Lol!

    From Scott Lauber's column today: Deion Sanders....seriously? I think our scouting department needs an overhaul.

    C I can't make sense of his exile. The only thing that I can think of is that they are shopping him as part of a trade package and they don't want to ruin his rebuilt trade value by risking that he will not hit again at the big league level. Just a guess.

    If they stand pat, this will continue all year long. A culture of losing will start to take hold on the team, and we will be looking at a season where we finish 20+ games out of first place. I hope they try something to right the ship otherwise it will be a long wait for us to watch good meaningful baseball. The last meaningful game was game 6 in 2013.

    With each passing day that nothing is done to improve this team, it becomes more obvious that th FO has given up on the season. There is no way that this current group can compete. Without some new blood in the very near future, apathy will set in and this team will spiral to lower depths. There will be no improvement through regression. The FO house will be cleaned at the earliest possible opportunity after the end of the season. Ben will go into exile never to get another MLB GM spot. Duquette was much better than Ben and his exile lasted 10 years.

    Who exactly has the new pitching coach turned around and improved their performance? Porcello still sucks and so does Kelly. Miley is pretty much the same.

    That is right. You and I had disagreed about Porcello and other things, but it has been civil.
