  1. I don't buy any BS cover story by a Boston writer who is always willing to carry the water for the FO to get access. Behind the scenes, JH is probably livid with Ben, but we will never know.
  2. We play these guys again tomorrow with Miley soft-tossing. I am not looking forward to that.
  3. There is something wrong with Ben too. Can we send him to Pawtucket to work things out?
  4. Porcello took us out of this game early. The players are not in the game right now so they are playing like clowns -- missing popups and forgetting the number of outs.
  5. When he straightens out, he will be a 4.5 ERA guy -- good enough to hold down the 5 hole if he can put up 200 innings. But that is all that he will be. He is in a real tough patch right now.
  6. He is a #4/5 starter. That's all he has ever been and he has been in the bigs for 5 or 6 full seasons as a starter. Lineups like the Jays eat guys like that alive. It is completely unsurprising.
  7. If we don't put up a crooked number, this game is on our hitters!! It's the hitting stupid!
  8. LOL!! Is that what an enigma looks like?
  9. Welcome to Rick Porcello's Home Run Derby! Isn't the 7 run rule in effect?
  10. Thank goodness for the pickoff.
  11. It's our hitters fault. LOL!!
  12. What a joke!! I don't know why people thought he was such an emerging star. The Tigers were aready losing Scherzer and Fister. They would have kept Porcello if he had a big upside considering his youth. It is becoming evident that the Tigers sold high on Porcello, and that we completely overpaid on the extension. He stinks.
  13. No, he is an enigma. LOL!!!
  14. This chump cannot keep the ball in the park this season. His 5.54 ERA continues to balloon.
  15. Glad that Hanley is back in the lineup, but I am hoping that he doesn't botch things up in the field.
  16. The Angels are in second place playing over .500 and their GM resigned. Have some class, Ben and quit before you bring further shame to this great franchise.
  17. I don't think they should make any short-sighted moves. This team needs to add pitching for the next few years not just what is left of 2014. As nice as it is to have ER, Johnson And Owens waiting in the wings, you can't work them all into the rotation at the same time. Three rookies in the rotation would mean another last place finish. They need to get a good veteran in the rotation. If they add one now, it should be with the thought of having him for another couple of seasons.
  18. Thanks for the pre-game notes and stats.
  19. He leveled Ellsbury. There is a big difference between being run into by Beltre and Panda. Getting hit by Beltre is like getting hit with a cement railroad tie. Panda is more like a bean bag.
  20. He ruined a whole season on Ellsbury wiping him out.
  21. Doesn't Ortiz crush Buehrle? Porcello needs to keep the ball in the park. If he does, we roll.
  22. We risk feeling entitled with all this winning.
  23. They are getting on base and the run production is increasing, and those stats you cite are right dead in the middle of both leagues--a tick above average and getting better.
