    They have a lot of guys with really good track records as hitters. Our starting pitchers have no such track record.

    In many ways it is a crap shoot, and our scouts have been getting more than our share of crap.

    The difference is that the team has talent on the offense, and it will turn it around and perform better. There is no talent on the starting pitching staff ecept for ER and Buch in streaks. The rest are mediocre lumps.

    He didn't lock it it down either. A good pitcher throws stikes and locks down a game like this. He stinks and he carries the 5.45 ERA to prove it.

    A starting rotation with 4 guys with ERA s over 5 have no right to complain about anything. They are an embarrassment.

    We could lose this game by 5 or 6 runs after being ahead by 7 runs. Unbelievable. This really needs to be Kelly's final start. He should have been able to shift to cruise control with a 7 run lead. He should have been able to get through 7.

    Kelly sucks. Our pitching sucks. Even if our offense turns things around, the 5+ ERA staff will sink this team.

    It was not my intent to compare Cespedes to Manny. Manny was incomparable. I was using the example of Manny to illustrate that a player can perform even when he hates living in the city.

    At the games they always show plays where guys collide and run into walls and fall down. Face planting against the fence would qualify.

    I listened to the manager's show today and they discussed the Miley outburst. He was upset about being taken of the game. He felt that he could weather the storm. Lol! What did he tell Farrell? "Hey skip, i've got them right where I want them. I am trying to tire them out by running them around the bases in the hot weather. In a couple of more innings they will be exhausted."

    Like I posted earlier today, the offense can awaken suddenly. One or two guys need to get hot. That will cascade to the rest of the lineup. After putting up a 5 spot, we couldn't get a clean inning, and Kelly tried to kill Betts. That will get replayed for quite a while on blooper reels.
