  1. How so? An error to start the inning ... a dribbler IF jhit where the guy ran outside the baseline to avoid the tag. He gave up one hard hit ball and then bowed his neck to K the next two guys.
  2. Sure that can happen, but if the guy is really throwing the ball well and commanding his pitches, I would rather take my chances with him going another inning than bringing in a new arm from the pen. That's just me. Tonight, Alex Cobb was throwing a beauty against the Pirates. They didn't even get a hit against him until the 7th inning and Cobb got them 1-2-3 in the 8th inning and had 96 pitches. The Pirates were helpless all night long. Cobb had it on cruise control, but Cash managing to formula went to his closer to start the 9th. The Pirates hitters were no longer helpless against the closer and got a couple of doubles to tie the game. Colome is not Kimbrel. I thought it was a dumb move and turned off the game before Colome threw a pitch. So many dumb managers.
  3. Drugs and whores require a lot of cash flow.
  4. If you let the reliever pitch a second inning and he is not available the next night, there should be a pitcher who is getting the night off who is available the following night for 1 or 2 innings.
  5. As it stands today, the Red Sox, but that could change after the TD.
  6. I am a big believer in trading most prospects, because most wash out, especially pitchers.
  7. Pedey with the clutch non-repeatable hit.
  8. This about sums him up. And calling someone a fat slob is not an attack on character.
  9. I really don't remember people criticizing Pablo's attitude last year, never mind almost everyone criticizing his attitude last year. That is pretty much in Kimmi's head. He was criticized for sucking. for being overweight and possibly lazy and stupid, but people didn't criticize his attitude.
  10. No one has accused Pablo of having a bad attitude. He smiles ear to ear while he does nothing to earn his money.
  11. I haven't checked my Twitter today.
  12. What is the reason for Hanley's scratch?
  13. So, a player can rise to the occasion, but he just can't ensure a positive outcome. I think this is what has been said by those who believe in the notion of clutch. Congratulations, you are a believer.
  14. We should have traded him when he was still considered to be a prospect.
  15. The fans have never gotten on Price like they booed Williams and Yaz.
  16. He's an unexplained scratch today.
  17. He probably would have had a longer career if he had to deal with only a cracked nail on his pitching hand. And then Proce whines about how people don't care about him except as a pitcher blah blah blah. Well what else would we care about. We don't know him personally and he is a pitcher. The criticism of him has been mild, but then he acts like a jackass in interviews and blows up in psychotic rants at reporters. Now he whines about a cracked fingernail on his non-pitching hand. This $210 million man is a real delicate flower. Message to Price: GROW UP AND ACT LIKE A MAN. Your actions are making people hate you. Seriously, shut up and pitch and earn your contract.
  18. His stuff started diminishing while he was with the Yankees. Didn't he pitch a no-no for the Skankees?
  19. BTW, you write very well for an 11 year old.
  20. i laugh when announcers talk about pitchers who are "gutting it out" because they are playing with an injury to their non-pitching hand. There was a pitcher that had only one-hand.
  21. This is the Red Sox. Playing that game should not be a concern. If he is ready, he should be called up to play and help the team win the Division. Imo, he should be called up ASAP so we know if he can handle the bigs in advance of the trading deadline.
  22. We are losing a series at home this weekend to a terrible team.
