  1. At least we can take something positive from this game.
  2. Farrell got his Irish up with that umpire -- nose to nose. he needs to turn the hat around so he can get closer. The spit was flying. I miss a good argument with an ump.
  3. I wonder how much of a difference it has made to the team that they don't have Papi to help them study opposing pitcher's tendencies. He was reportedly great at studying opposing pitchers and he shared it with the team. Many games our guys just look clueless as to what the pitcher is throwing up there.
  4. We made their pitcher look like Pedro Martinez.
  5. I remember asking you about him because I wasn't familiar with him and I was wondering if he was another Asian player with a similar name from a few years back. I sought of remember him doing something positive at bat, but had to look it up to confirm that he got a hit.
  6. You really can't figure it out. Not black and white enough for you?
  7. We saw him play against the Pirates. I think he got a hit.
  8. Neither. There is a third choice. You are so smart. You figure it out.
  9. I am pretty sure that Steve Lyons comes here. I started using a phrase to refer to pitchers with no stuff. I would say that they were throwing puss. Not long afterward on a post-game Lyons used the term when describing a pitcher. LOL!! Who uses that term? Not some of my better work, Steve. Send me a PM and i will give you some catchy phrases.
  10. Or one team was hot and the other cold, and the next time, it was different. Those hot streaks are not repeatable skills. Therefore, they don't exist.
  11. It's not that I am not understanding your argument. It is that I disagree with it. Is that too difficult for you to understand or are you just being a clown?
  12. The thing about worrying if Pedroia was being underappreciated? He might as well have mentioned MVP in his remarks.
  13. Gosh golly gee, this baseball stuff is really complicated. Or maybe you can't just grasp the simple fact that people disagree with your opinion no matter how many ways you explain it and we have very good and valid reasons to do so. You remind me of that episode of Seinfeld where Pederman was in disbelief that Elaine hated "The English Patient". How could you not like it? LOL!! Get over it. Most of us have liked the Kimbrel trade from day 1. You can go on for 12 paragraphs of things that you think are over my little ole brain if you like. Change things up a bit and write a review of the English Patient. Warning: I don't think that you can get me to like it.
  14. Talking out of both sides of your mouth?
  15. Then you are contradicting yourself.
  16. Two back peddling posts in a row. Smirk.
  17. Speier is also a scavenger but too nerdy to use your stuff.
  18. When I use the line, I will credit you. Mushnick probably was trolling TalkSox and stole it from you. Cafardo and other Boston beat writers troll us here and use our ideas/ phrases etc. I am certain of it. They should just give credit once in a while. Scavengers.
  19. No lead is safe for the Nats. Edit: And last night Osuna was not available and the Blue Jays could do nothing to protect a 3 run lead in the 9th.
  20. Keep dreaming. You are not going to get a stud like Carrasco or Salazar for a bunch of lottery tickets.
  21. He also had knee surgery during the season -- not a bad season for a knee surgery season.
  22. You can use another 5 paragraphs if you like, but you will not convince me. I think you are wrong and so do many others.
  23. That is how trades are supposed to work. They are supposed to address the needs of both teams. Otherwise, there would be no trades.
  24. But the market was about a month away from changing significantly. Maybe DD knew that, and I still disagree with you on both points. I view the acquisition of a dominant guy like Kimbrel to be a good bargain financially and what we paid in prospects. You don't need to explain yourself again, because I have disagreed with your assessment of the trade since day 1.
