  1. Well thats good to know.....starting to go young..I'm liking this
  2. Guess I should admit I was terribly wrong about Brooks possibly leading the Jets to the playoffs Just my luck...the East is weak...and were the weakest in it
  3. Hello every..Its been a while since I've posted here...and its cuz I was told I was banned for some reason, I wasn't sure why, but I just figured whatever. Then I came to chack it out, and saw I wasn't, so I'll start posting here again. So far for the Yankees- They've gotten newer coaches and declined on Tino I liked getting Mizzili as the bench coach, and same with Pena and whoever we got at first. I take that move that Roy White and Lou Sojo are done?? I'm not too sure about Ron Gudruy as the pitching coach mainly because hes never done it before..and I don't want a rookie coach trying to lead a WS rotation. With the declining of Tino, I sence 2 thing- 1- A lot of weight is going to be put on Giambi, he needs to play well...and not do anything to miss 50 games:rolleyes: 2- Were going younger for that Andy Phillips canalso play 1st I guess I liked our moves so far...and well have to see what other ones we make
  4. He played 60 games as a Yankee... and was 1-2 with an ERA of like 6 And that was before Steriods
  5. Also, it was A-Rods MOM who said it, it wasn't like the press asked A-Rod why he did bad and he said my Uncle died, how could you ever expect me to go out there and preform.......... or anything like that... His mom said it.. And If my child was getting talked about the same way, I woulda done the same And in some situations, it does mess you up physically and mentally Once my dad got hurt in a car crash, and my mom told me during the 3rd inning of a baseball game, and for the next like 5 innings all I could think about was him, and wanted to get home to see him, and really did bad.....maybe theres a difference with deaths, I've never been put in that situation....but it can most definaly effect you
  6. Wow, an Astros-White Sox World Series to me would be very uneventfull.. I wouldn't care who won... like the Cardinals I really don't want to win for statistical purposes...The Braves I didn't want to win...cuz I don't like them, same for the Angels and Red Sox. But I guess if someone had to win in that match-up I'd say WhiteSox, their due
  7. BILL ROMANOWSKI ON STERIODS???!??!?! WHATS NEXT MARK McGWIRE AND JASON GIAMBI??!?!? lol:lol:
  8. I think that umps will...no matter what... always play a part in the outcome....I mean, if you can show me one playoff series where there wasn't on bad call....I'd give you a nickle They happen all the time....thing is, only the big ones we remembers, that call at 1st I see on ESPN a lot...or the call the other day(even though..in my eyes, I think it hit the ground, or it was just too close to test)...or the A-Rod or anything.....I mean how many people remember a bad call in the top of the first of game one of the ALDS....its not that big in our eyes unless it most defiantly changed the outcome of the game, thats the only time we step in and call out the umps...but it always happens
  9. The White Sox didn't cheat, they played smart baseball Its a heads up play and I doubt there are many other players who would done the same
  10. There were 2 outs and runner on 1st and second, Cano struck out, but the ball got away from the catcher, Cano ran to first, and when the catcher threw it to the firstbaseman(sorry, I don't know thir names), it went past him, then they called Cano out becuase he wasn't in the little running path, therefor he interfeared with the play and should be out. Only problem was, Cano took a step out of the box/path, and the very next one in the Path, so it really wasn't so far out of the Box to be called out...and the Ump wasn't even standing at the line to have a clear view, he was standing away, and couldn't have had a clear view of what happened.. But the bad part about the call is that Cano in no way interfeard with the 1st baseman, he just flat out missed the ball
  11. I'll agree, those were bad calls that got overturned(like the call was bad, but then overtured to a good one)...But I think, if you make a call, you stick with it I think having meetings with all the umps to change a call is really stupid, they might as well get a reply challenge then, becuase they have meetings, and overturn the calls to the right ones, but also have meetings and don't overturn wrong calls, so it doesn't even out As for the White Sox.....I think the Angles catcher shoulda tagged AJ, even if he didn't think the ball hit the ground, he had to have known that the glove hit the ground, so just to be safe...tag the guy
  12. I usually get The Post, but who cares what a newspaper says, a lot of you think what you read in the papers us fans think, and its kind of stupid If the front page of the paper says Steinbrenner should leave, that doesn't mean I'm sitting in my house think of ways to get Steinbrenner to leave. Ignore the newspaper covers if you think it relects the fans......I mean, you hate Yankee fans because the NY Times said someting bad about our owner???
  13. I agree with all of that, just fight, and don't get down on ur self about it My sister and uncle both had cancer 2 years ago, and they faught threw it, and now my sis is fine, my uncle too
  14. I like Mel, All I wonder is who'll replace him, he was great here, and hope he can find work somewhere else (I mean, hes the reason why Aaron Small went 10-0) As for George, I felt the same thing about the comment, like it was a slap in Torries face, but this has been his most gurling year, regular season that is, so far I think, and I don't really take much to what Steinbrenner says, though I love him, hes got a fast mouth
  15. I also gotta say the Yankees aren't a test it out kinda team, like test this season if it'll work, if not change, Seeing how this season ended, I don't know if all the starters from last year will still be here starting 99% of the games
  16. I wouldn't mind that, I think there going to sign Bernie to a small contratc, like 1 year to be kind of like Ruben, Pinch hitter and possible OF What kinda contract do we have with Embree and Leiter, are they all done?? And we need to resign Matsui and Chacon
  17. Yea, him and Matsui did pretty ba.....horrible in the ALDS
  18. lol, this is a Red Sox board.....I guess I had better things to do Woohooo, both our seasons sucked, but I wasn't as depressed as I thought I eould be
  19. If they can give Bonds MVP, they can give Giambi comebacker..........
  20. Brooks did good, but the rest of the team sucked it up, guess you can shoot me now
  21. nope, It'll take him at least 2 weeks to learn this offense, and I see no reason to take Brooks out, Vinny was only brought in to mentor Brooks, for the Fans, and if Brooks gets hurt, then to play With a healthy Brooks, Vinny will only play when were up by 20+(which won't happen, cuz the Jets aint a blowout team, there a close game team)
  22. Obviously someone else sees something in Brooks Besides me, if you got NY going into Balt and winning All my picks are the same as here
  23. forget this post, misread another one
  24. Yea, I was thinking, I'd rather just watch only the Yanees Sox, and I'll just look in the corner of the TV to see whos winning, that game really wasn't the center of my attention and maybe if it was only for 1 minuet, I'd watch ot, but it lasted like innings at a time
