  1. These are some who I think, not including the present Steve Garvey, Reggie Jackson, Thurman Munson, Tony Perez and Willie Stargell
  2. Wang is a groundball pitcher and Fenway is a popfly park, I feel good with Wang out there when wells does good vs the Yankees, he does great, when he does bad, he does horrible, we;'ll know early where this ones going
  3. Congrates to Boggs, but I thought all the Sox fans hated him for http://imagesource.allposters.com/images/PHO/AAEY002.jpg
  4. 10-0 for Small, who woulda known
  5. Yankees MVP in my mind, Aaron Small, I bet, if not for him, like Tim Redding would have pitched those games, and woulda been 2-7 in thgem, he saved our season 10-0, wow, I hope so
  6. He didn't do that great this year, but over the times hes been great for us, I guess in the far future I hope he does the same for you, just not this weekend
  7. The only thing I find funny about this thread is its titled "Cleveland or Yankees for Wild card" SO no matter what about the series at Fenway, the Red Sox supposibly won it, even though their a game back But I do not want to take this anymore offtopic, just putting in my thoughts
  8. I hope we get the thrid, but this has to be a really bad way to end the season for the O's, they have a 3 games on the road vs the Yankees, all klosses, 4 vs the SOx in fenway, all losses, and 4 vs the Yankees at home, so far 2 of 3 are losses But, it happens, lets hope we win today
  9. oh my god FORGET VINNY, HE IS NOT STARTING, HE WILL NOT BE STARTING ONE SINGLE GAME, GET OVER HIM Brooks Bollinger, QB from Wisconson will bestarter for the rest of the season, he knows the offence, Vinny doesn't
  10. This is an important game, I just got home, haven't gotten to the TV yet, but I take it its 1-0, hopefully our bats can power us back like yesterday, and then we can put someone in who dopesn't suck, like Gordan or Rivera........yep thats it, everyone else out there suck Hopefull Chacon doesn't allow n e more
  11. Really, wow is all I can say, your tied for 1st with the Yankees, and its assuming the Sox win it??? Maybe 2 weeks ago, but not today, you may want to wait untill you accually won the division to see who you want to win the Other, becuase as it is a true reality for me, it better be a true reality for you that your team may not even make the playoffs.....
  12. Now I doubt any of you to believe me, But Brooks Bolling does have a better arm than both Chad and Jay. Hes worked in this offense for the past three years, and has in game experience(very little though), pushing for the first overall pick, I doubt it, were a defensive team, and whatever shot we had at anything before Chad and Jay went down, we got the same exact shot now plus Vinny, who is back and its in writing
  13. This si a big game, for both teams, and to tell you the truth, i have no Idea who will win, not at all, so then ZI'd just say pick who I want to lose..to lose, but I donot know which team I want to lose, if the Pats lose, the Steelers are 3-0, and I do not want that, and if the Steelers lose, then the Jets will need to win to stay atop the AFC East.......
  14. Were going to work early on Lilly, and I really do not think the Jays can score over 5 on the new Chacon, so a few more runs this could be a no game..........untill we turn it to our bullpen that is :thumbdown :dunno:
  15. Chacon is coming off Excellent, and greatly back up by defensive starts It'll be a tough game for the Jays to win, but in the same boat, tough for the Yankees
  16. Atlanta vs Buffalo Cincinnati vs Chicago Jacksonville vs NY Jets Oakland vs Phildaelphia Tennesse vs St. Louis Carolina vs Miami Cleveland vs Indianapolis New Orleans vs Minnesota Tampa Bay vs Green Bay Dallas vs San Francisco Arizona vs Seattle New England vs Pittsburgh NY Giants vs San Diego Kansas City vs Denver I didn't bold a team for NE and Pitts, cuz......I cannot even fathom who will win it, its too close for me to pick, then If I was just to pick who I'd want to lose, I cannopt do that either, I don't really mind the Steelers, but I don't like em that much, and you all know whwy I wouldn't want the Patriots to win. I think a lotta people picked Jax cuz of Pennington(and Martins) injurys, but Leftwich, too, is injured, so I believe this'll be a defensive matchup game, and lets hope the Jets'll come out on top, I'll be at the game too, another reason for me to want them to win.
  17. I know this isn't the right place to post it, but that Yanks-Sox game with Johnson and Schilling pitching vs each other is gunna be the matchup of the year, I think Cuz the baseball specialists said Johnson hates(maybe not hates, but dislikes) Schilling beacuse of how they were talked about following the D-Bask WS Win, and that he only went to the Yankees to out preform Schilling, and if thats true, I wanna see how that game goes. All in all, I cannot wait to see how these final 10 days go, it'll be the most into baseball I;ve ever had to be, cuz Ive never had to be in this situation, and since I don't think their'll be 2 AL East teams in th playoffs, I gotta see how this plays iout
  18. Ughh, that homer scared me, but in the end, Yankees win 7-6, and now we have a whole 1 game lead for the division
  19. I don't know how to do that, if I say Jets.....+2.5........Jax...does that mean I think the Jetsll win??
  20. I'm excited for this game, Yankees coming off a big Bubba Crosby Walk-off. And not to mention the reason we even have a shot at the Sox, Aaron Small. He has a chance to be the first pitcher since 1970's(I believe) to start off 8-0 when his first win was after the ALl Star game/break What I think: Small 6 2/3IP, 4Ks, 2BB, 1ER Maine 7IP, 4Ks, 4BB, 3 ER Yankees win 4-2
  21. Thats right, Wang is getting back to how he was But then main story to me here is Bubba, probly the most underestimated player who was in the lineup hits his first homer in a year in a half... I loved watching that, he was soo happy, that true baaseball to me..... But Wang did set a MLB record, first player ever to have 3 assisits in one inning(I think it might be for a pitcher, becuase it doens't really seem that wierd) Excellent game
  22. I couldn't have hoped for this week to go better, Jets win, all other AFC East teams lose, 1-1 for all of them, next week it'll be split up again. I think I was 100% on my pics so far excpet the Patriots
  23. lol, theyre almost there, they've scored 4, so now its 5-4
  24. I gotta tell you, I forgot Ortiz's numbers were like that, He'll get his homers, but I don't think he'll get to Rices avg., and might tie or beat out his RBIs by 1
  25. OK, I'm just posting to give everyone stats that I just looked up I'm not trying to repeat anyones post or prove anyone wrong or anything, so don't take it badly since 1972, when the DH started, theres only been 2 guys to win the AL MVP with playing over 40 games at DH, Jime Rice and Don Baylor. Rice had 46 HRs, 139 RBIs and batted .315 in 1978 and played 49 games at DH. Baylor had 39 HRs, 139RBIs and batted .296 in 1979 and was DH 65 times. I doubt Ortiz's numbers will be like Rice's, but Baylor possibly, and I also don't know how many games he played at DH, but I'm just letting everyone know this. I don't know if anyone asked this, but I wanna know what everyone thinks. What if, A-Rod and Ortiz end the season with the exact same number of HRs, RBIs, and same batting avg., who do you think will win?
