  1. j/w...if we got another Catcher to catch for Randy, and like we wanted to give Cano a day off, would you want to put Jorge at 2nd, If I remember correctly I heard 2nd was the position he always played, and I think he was going to play it when his knees couldn't handle C anymore. I'd just like to see how he did.
  2. Well..since the Jets are out..I have no reason to want the Pats to lose, and since the cheifs killed the Jets.. I hope u come back and win.
  3. Just if you want a little info on them Overbay is 28, and made$446,000 last year Adrian Gonzalez is 23, and made $316,000 last year Sean Casey is 30, and made $7,800,000 last year Darin Ersttad is 31, and made $8,250,000 last year Chad Tracy is 25, and made $335,000 last year Travis Lee is 30, and made $1,300,000 last year Those numbers are all of baseball-reference.com If your looking just for a good fielder..and not a great hitter, I'd say Erstad...but overall, Chad Tracys one of the best options, hes young and can hit 30homers and bat .300, as well as have a .996 F%
  4. na..lol I wanted the in like 7th grade becuase everyone loved Kobe Bryant..and I thought he was really cool.. Now I realize there not the nicest eye catcher out ther:dunno: lol
  5. You know what shes everyone said wree ugly and I always wanted..those old Kobe Bryant ones..that looked like boxes..they pulled them about a week before I went to buy em though http://www.sadida.com/Adidas/Images/Shoes/kobe2_1.jpg cept I wanted them in white or blue
  6. That was great game....Nate was stepping up...and I thought Rose and Webber were gunna get into a fight good comeback...good ending
  7. http://www.elementssports.com/SoxAv/PastAll.jpg http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/2452/mayer5zp.png lol...I' think they'd be making the rright choice lol..thanks for the compliments though
  8. I'm not surpirsed..but I wonder who'll catch RJ?
  9. Darn...I really thought we were gunna get him...now we really need to look for relievers or a lot of pressure will be put on Aaron Small
  10. I gotta say..the Kicks got rid of all my favorate players Charlie Ward(my favorate ever)..traded Frank Williams....traded Allan Houston....retired Kurt Thomas..traded
  11. Your wish is my command http://img347.imageshack.us/img347/52/ruffng6mk.png I'll use that...thats a clipped pic of his 1924 Boston Red Sox rookie card. Its incredable..on of only 6 Red Ruffing cards I don't have. I've only heard stories of it, never saw it untill I did a recent google search and found it http://www.lewisbaseballcards.com/classes/baseBallCard/images/602Lg.jpg Lets say there have been 50 Red Ruffing cards made between 1924-1945, I own 44 of them, I am only missing 6, http://img53.echo.cx/img53/6592/ruffing3mc.png those 5, pluse the one above. Sad part is, 4 of the 6 will cost me over $650 each, and I don't have that kind of money, and the other two I've never seen for sale. But since there are many Yankee fans here, I made a few for you guys, http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/359/mantle6cf.png http://img359.imageshack.us/img359/1560/ford9uq.png http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/2452/mayer5zp.png lol...just a little humor You can use these if you wish...I got nothing better to do but make em...but I'd give requests to Element..hes fantastic
  12. OK... Rick Ferrell- Boston Red Sox 1933-1937 Wes Ferrell- Boston Red Sox 1934-1937 Tris Speaker- Boston Red Sox 1907-1915 Charlie Radburn- My Mistake, he played for the Boston Beaneater, modern day Atlanta Braves...I apologize, Red Sox were the Pilgrims and the Americans
  13. 3-8.....this has been a tough 3 year span for NewYorkers...if its not the Yankees choking, its the Jets, and if not the Jets, then the Knicks....:thumbdown I really do hope that Larry Brown can get my Knicks back into it, and make a playoff push, I've learned to understand defeat in Football and Basketball, so winning with them would be a nice surprise
  14. Thanks for the advice...will-do.. I'll start looking as soon as the tickets are released..I'll probably shoot for the higher number as I can probably find more people to join us, hopefully I get lucky with eBay as I have with Jets tix in the past. But I wonder, 26-6, do you think this'll effect the stadium turnout for game?? we hit 4 million last season, do you think we can agagin now that they've raised prices?
  15. His names Wes Ferrell, he was 62-40 in 4 seasons with the Sox(1934-1937) Allstar in '37
  16. Utica....and 5-6 hours out.. I was hoping to find them on eBay? I mean 81 games....sum1 probably selling worth a try..if not, then whatevers best we'll take
  17. Well that kinda sucks...because me and 2 of my friends were planning on driving to the city to see a game this season...we wanna get front row, 1st baseline seats...to get foul balls and be on tv We figured the trip would cost us each a good 300..but now I think it might end up being 400+ Guess I'll need to find another job...:dunno:
  18. I study into oldtime baseball, so I hate no team or player from before 1950. I had to write a report on baseball of before 1920, so I had a lot of pictures of Red Sox players from before them on my compuer, so I figured I'd pop them into Paint, and turn them into avitars for those who wanna use them. http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/6040/speaker7ts.png http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/6123/hoss4yi.png http://img499.imageshack.us/img499/633/ferral0ue.png http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/9491/wes0qc.png If you want to know who the players are...just ask
  19. oo.sorry, I misunderstood your first post, I thought you were saying we weren't gunna have another strong farm system, my fault but in, like, 6-7 years or so, I wouldn't be surprised to have the whole team be guys we've brought up through the farm system....or at least most of them
  20. But I think our farm systems getting back up there..I mean, a lot of futur greats have come out of it. Cano has a chance to belt 20 homers and have maybe 80-100 RBIs..and 100 runs Wang could easily have 20 wins, Small(even though he didn't come up in our farm system) could also And then we have Cabrera, and I know of a few other guys(just not remembrant of their names) that are good too.
  21. Yea..thats true, but its the only thing I thought of at the time..I guess like its some where between Eli Manning and the Lakers....lol
  22. Welll....I missed todays games...but heres for the rest At Kansas City New England- Even though the game is in Kansas City, Tom Brady always finds a way to squeak it out, close game...Pats win..final 3 min win.... At Cincinnati Baltimore- Even though coming off a loss, Cinci is playing some of the best football, while Baltimore is playing some of the worst Carolina At Buffalo- Buffalos Defense is too weak, in my opinion, to stop Carolina At Tampa Bay Chicago- Can't believe it, but Chicagos on a tear...7-3??right...wow San Diego At Washington- SD getting Gates back..and they have LaT...don't see Washington in this one At Minnesota Cleveland- Minnesota needs this game, but I see the Browns catching them asleep, and upsetting them in this one At Tennessee San Francisco- Sorta like the Jets-Saints game..who cares...but, the 9ers are so QB confused right now, I see Tennesee taking this one St. Louis At Houston-Houstons O-Line with ST. Luis' D-Line...good luck Carr Jacksonville At Arizona- Arizonas dissapointed me this season...but I Jacksonville surprise me even more and better to 8-3 At Oakland Miami- LoMants been playing better, and if they get Moss in a little more....Oakland takes it At Seattle NY Giants- Even though the Giants were my Superbowl picks at one point, they've been playing sloppy, I see them losing this one becuase of a costly int or fumble return At Philadelphia Green Bay- I am surprised to say I think the TO debicle has effected this team on the field, and that they will continue to struggle this week too. New Orleans At NY Jets- WOW...talk about a highly anticipated primetime game...winner of this game has a shot to....help the other team get 1st pick. But becuase I care more about 2005 than 2006, I'll pick my Jets to win at home. At Indianapolis Pittsburgh- I'll say it now.....If Indy gets by Pittsburgh..and no big player of theirs get injured..We will have the first team in NFL history to go 16-0 in the regular season.
  23. They musta seen something in the move...but I cannot understand it really...I mean a 35 year old for a 28 year old... We'll have to check the stats and team placememnts at the end to see how this worked out
  24. Congrats...can't say I personally am pleased...but this should definatly help with strengthing your rotation...and give you a reason to look bye Manny TO-like soap...and think about '06
  25. Even though I know they won't do this..I think Center Field is fine alone with just Bubba Crosby. Heres why: There are several different ways you can look at just having Bubba play CF, The kid can field, I don't blame him(or sheffield at that) for that collision in rightcenter in the playoffs, but he can field. In almost 100 games last season(98) he had 0 errors, and 83 PutOuts. And, when it comes to hitting, we don't need another 30HR guy whos old and overpaid...we can just have Bubba bat in the 8th spot....or even higher, Bubba showed me a lot of bat power last year tward the end. I also think it'd be good for the people that expect us to go overpay some to see us trusting a kid, who could help lead this team for years to come. I do not feel that Bubba will be our starting "CF", and that we will go out and get a star, which won't kill me, but I'd rather not have to have that pressure put on the team again to have to win...and then maybe not, as opposed to just winning...
