The Yankees plan on using Wright in the bullpen, sometime in late-to-mid- August. He was good for an inning or two, but...well the plan is still to get him the starting rotation, according to Torre.
Don't plan on Brown coming back anytime this year. And if it's next year, he'll not be with the Yankees!
I've heard reports that Wang feels good, and he's probably looking to resume throwing sometime. I hope the kid feels well, not even soon, but well, period. He's been huge for the Yankees, and maybe part of that has to do with him not understanding Stottlemyre's "pitching advice"?
That report Pavano had regrets or whatever, frankly it was vague and what business does he have parking his pretty ass on the DL, calling up a buddy in Detroit and griping about his situation with his team. Sounds unprofessional, if it's even true. If you're unhappy, get healthy, start pitching get us some wins.
Besides RJ (still shows inconsistency) and Moose, the rest of the staff needs only to "keep us in games". Because the Yankees, on paper, have a potent offense, and can give some run support. They're not expecting aces here, although a nice perforance even once in awhile boosts the team.
