  1. Oh I wasnt talking about him being trade bait, I was just replying to "SoxFan02" that we do indeed have a decent catching prospect.
  2. Mark Wagner of the Red Sox affiliate, Single A Greenville Drive. He's having an outbreak season and should be promoted to Portland by season's end. http://soxprospects.com/players/wagner-mark.htm
  3. I have heard that the Red Sox have renewed trade interest/talks with the Twins about Brad Radke. At first I was shaking my head because last I heard he was just a Jason Johnson carbon copy But however he has lowered his ERA considerably from season high 8.89 down to 4.97 In June (6 starts) 3-1, 2.09 ERA In July (2 starts) 3.75 ERA season stats http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/5337
  4. Also RJ is being paid $17 million this season to be their ace Beckett is being paid little over $4 million to be the Sox's #2 guy
  5. this guy is a keeper pawsox.com ... other news Alvarez continues to dwindle. IMO any trade the Sox make they should just throw him in as a freebie
  6. I cant judge Pavano because he's only made 17 starts for the Yankees in 2 seasons? 4 years/$40 million and he gets a mulligan for thus far missing 30 starts... He probably is given curtain calls just for showing up at Yankee Stadium in his street clothes with that logic I said I would gladly take Arroyo's ERA, you walked pass by that easily. Wily Mo Pena was brought into to be a platoon player with Trot, has he done that... yes with 321 avg, 4 HRs, 21 RBIs. The eventual plan is for him to become the next right fielder. The jury is still out on him
  7. And carl Pavano did a lot for the Yankees? Key word about Arroyo is that he's lighting it up in the NL. Here in the AL East he'd probably have around a 4.50 ERA, but yes I would take that gladly Wily Mo Pena stabilized the center field position batting .321 with 4 HRs, 21 RBIs until Coco Crisp returned. A pure judgement cant be made until he's given a full time gig in Boston. Beckett would have to miss a lot of time to match Pavano's track record 2004 - 2006 Beckett- 74 starts Pavano- 48 starts
  8. I am just perplexed how Rudy Seanez & Julian Tavarez are still on the team. Embree & Halama were cut by now last season... Theo whats the story???
  9. Carl Pavano was given 4 years/$40 million contract... The Yankees got 7 sub par starts out of him in 2 seasons, he's not a bust? What a steal for you guys!!
  10. Tavarez for the 9th back to back hits, men on 1st and third with the score currently being 5-1. Tito just now has called the bullpen, too little too late
  11. Bow before the man who fields with the golden glove
  12. Duscherer for the 8th, Street for 9th... ok can you guys at least sweep the Royals
  13. Nope sorry you remain a jinx to the Sox. Each series? that doesnt make me feel good
  14. Dont worry Tavarez is in the pen to back up Rudy
  15. ugh.. thanks manny for making the last out at 3rd base`
  16. Youk ends the inning with a 3 pitch K, July just hasnt been his month
  17. please tell me youre being sarcastic. Seanez is the worst reliever in the clutch and he is brought into keep the team in the game with 2 men on/2 outs. Guess what... 1st batter reaches and drives in an inherited runner, 5-0
  18. Its a 4-0 game in the 5th inning of what has been a pitchers duel 2 men on, 2 outs... and Tito goes for Rudy Seanez to keep the team in the game
  19. Rudy Seanez is first man out of bullpen, yea Tito sees this as a give away game now
  20. 14 game stetch, so Im sure they wouldnt hesitate if he parlays from what he has been his first 3 innings If so his next 2 starts would be at Seattle, at Oakland. Both pitchers parks
  21. updated stats 7 appearances, 3 saves 9.1 innings, 8 Hits, 4 Runs (0 ER), Walk, 11 Ks
  22. updated stats 6 starts (1-3, 3.29 ERA) 27.1 innings, 22 Hits, 11 Runs (10 ER), 20 Walks, 32 Ks
