  1. updated stats .302 avg, .364 obp, 24 Doubles, Triple, 9 HRs, 42 RBIs, 39 Runs, 24 Walks, 2 SBs
  2. I wouldnt say it would be a load of older guys anchoring the rotation next season. As it stands right now Schilling & Wakefield would be the only veterans. Clement is also signed through next year but... does anyone really expect the Sox to keep him around??
  3. He's just here as the 5th outfielder until Wily Mo comes back, which is this week
  4. Perdroia isnt going to be traded. The Braves have a 28 year old Marcus Giles at 2nd, 30 yearold Renteria (so he says), and a young utility guy in Wilson Betemit. Yeah the Braves are clamoring for a close to major league ready 2nd baseman
  5. Arent you contradicting yourself with saying that you thought Snyder did deserve another start? Anyways when Theo makes statement after statement that he wont trade away their blue chips for win now players... its hard not to believe him. Something will be done. Whether it be Wells making a comeback, he could be back late this month if all goes well in their plans. Or it could be a trade for a innings eater starting pitcher (not using prospects as high as Craig Hansen) The trading deadline is still 2 weeks away and the biggest trades mostly come within the last 2/3 days
  6. Also its not like the A's are trotting out a lights out pitcher. Joe Blanton is in his sophmore slump and holds a 6.00 ERA in 9 starts away from McAfee Coliseum. Not yet sold that the Sox will be beaten easily
  7. As expected: Kyle Snyder up, Craig Breslow down No doubt we havent seen the last of the promising young lefty. I am just loving this deep farm.
  8. Pedroia is just rolling. From tonights game-- 4 for 4, 2 Doubles, 2 RBIs, 2 Runs scored, Walk. He has now lifted his average to .306 http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2006_07_15_chraaa_pawaaa_1&t=g_box&did=milb
  9. Mr. Gold Glove of 06 barehands for the final out. Sox get first shutout while allowing just 4 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 11
  10. Also glad to see that he put loyalties aside and has bumped Varitek down to the #7 spot. He has been picking things up offensively, 4 hits in the first 2 games and was so close to hitting a HR earlier in the game
  11. Wakefield has been pushed back a day to Monday vs the Royals. Kyle Snyder will start on Sunday. In 3 starts facing Oakland, Snyder is 0-2 with a 3.20 ERA
  12. Beckett's 4th start where he's lasted less than 5 innings and given up at least 7 runs. Maybe a good start against KC?
  13. Damn I wanted to see Cora pitch Tavarez is set to pitch the 9th... he has already thrown 86 pitches over his last 3 games. How much of a rest will the Sox give him after tonight?
  14. That would be just 2 of the 8 runs were earned Pluses, if any Craig Breslow makes himself known as another young hurler the Sox can call onto Varitek has been heating up with 4 hits last 2 games Coco continues to get back, 5 game hitting streak The Axe should be falling soon for Seanez or Tavarez, allowing JVB or Breslow to take their spot
  15. http://us.imdb.com/Icons/poster_under_licence.gif was that out #3??
  16. Tavarez/Seanez... Theo make the cut to happen. Either one is fine with me put Cora or Dougie in to pitch
  17. Can umps give teams pity outs?
  18. I cant bash Lopez really, his job is a lefty specialist. Tonight he's faced 6 of 7 batting right-handed. Tito was just throwing him to the fire My only hope is that Curt gets anything close to 7 innings, and the Sox offense tears the cover off of the ball against Haren. The Sox defense (errors wise) this month has been average
  19. what a surprise, Bradley throwing his helmet after being called out
  20. LMAO, the crowd mock-cheering Rudy when he threw a strike priceless
  21. haha Rudy maybe you could get away with this in a blowout win... I will enjoy seeing you get booed viciously off the mound
  22. Could we be able to use that "smiley" only after Papi has a big hit? No offense, its almost been like a jinx when its posted while he's up to bat Well Sox got 2 runs back but still 10 men left on base, 25 last 2 games, 40 last 3 games
  23. And we're facing the Kansas City Royals, all hope is not completely lost with the Royals' tattered pitching staff
