3 shutouts in the last 5 games. The Sox last had 1-0 shutouts back to back against Toronto in August of 1990. Great to see our pitching performing like this, but the offense has to step it up as they have been in a slump since the 12 game winning streak. Redman coming into today had 32 Ks in 87 innings. He has already set a season high with 7 Ks in his 6 inning of work against what should be the Red Sox

He was pretty much dominant in Portland this season with 9 wins and an ERA under 3 believe. His first 2 starts in Triple A he was knocked around, but has rebounded nicely since then

No he's being groomed to be the next 2nd baseman. He is only playing shortstop every third day, because its an insurance policy if god forbid one of the middle infielders get hurt during this season. His range and hands are best suited as a 2nd baseman. Gonzalez & Loretta re both free agents. It would be a tough decision who to sign with Pedroia ready to make the bigs, but AGon's glove makes all the difference in the world.
