  1. I take something of an interest in uniform history, and really uniforms in general, myself. If they had to take one of the patches off, I'd assume it'd be the All-Star patch, though placing the World Series logo on the chest, like they did with the Rockies vest, may also be an option... but the jerseys would look so crowded. That said, yeah... shouldn't be much of a problem. That said, though... on the subject of jerseys, I know for certain the Royals will be wearing light blue alternates this year.
  2. Who needs a potential franchise QB when you can have a franchise Special Teamer? Dorsey's very versatile too... he can DT in a 4-3 and DE in a 3-4. Have to go Dorsey unless you get an offer to move down that you can't refuse. ... unless they want a backfield of McFadden and Ronnie Brown! Arkansas has shown us that you can get pretty creative when you have two great RB's and one of them is named McFadden. On that note, he can probably throw the ball as well as anyone currently wearing teal and orange. :dunno: Speaking of Arkansas... Bobby Petrino has done the smart, yet cowardly, thing and gotten the f*** out of Atlanta to take the job at Arkansas. I know that at least DeAngelo Hall has blasted him for it. His NFL coaching career lasted just 13 games.
  3. So... who will the Dolphins draft at #1? Coming into this year, John Beck was their QB for the future but he looked terrible in the little time he saw this year... but there's not a QB available worth the number one pick. They have Ronnie Brown, so they don't need McFadden... Glen Dorsey? That's who I'd take. And maybe take a chance on someone like Grossman in free agency?
  4. I said in the other thread this should be a concern. Not only your inability to run the ball, but the inability to stop the run. This team's not built to win in the conditions they might have to win in come playoff time.
  5. Yeah but that kind of wind would affect and offense like the Patriots more than the Ravens. However... weather is a factor. I'm not sure this Patriots team's built to win football games in the conditions they're going to have to win football games come playoff time -- they can't run the football, they can't stop the run, and their offense plays off of the speed of Moss, Stallworth, and Welker at WR. The Steelers ran the ball very well until they had to abandon the run, and the Patriots were awful on the ground. If they meet in adverse conditions in the playoffs... that seems like a huge advantage for the Steelers. Poor conditions may affect a speed based defense like the Colts as much as it would the Patriots offense, but the Steelers are more of a "punch you in the mouth" defense and those types of conditions would play right into their hands, eh?
  6. 23 months for Vick. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3148549 His NFL days appear to be over... certainly at the QB position.
  7. Thanks... my team was no better than Zach's was for about half of the season... but I knew I had talent, and I think the trade with ORS gave my team new life. I lost LT, so in that regard it hurt me, but it gave me a few more abled guys to plug in. Sucks that Larry Johnson got hurt... I made the trade thinking that if he rebounded that trade would be great for me. As it turns out, he got hurt shortly after and the trade still worked out for me. I guess I can change the name of my team since they've been winning? In my other league, the team I'm battling with for the final playoff spot and I are playing this week... I'm down by 1 point with Jenkins from Atlanta playing for me tomorrow night, so I'm a bit nervous about that one. I win, I'm in. I lose, I'm out. edit: My team did the same s*** in fantasy baseball. Started out slow and clawed their way into the playoffs. Oh well, better than the other way around.
  8. I agree. I was actually thinking the same thing. He deserved the award... I like McFadden, and feel bad that he had to settle for second again, but Tebow had an amazing year. I like this part from the ESPN article... That's some high praise for an 18 year old but the kid's been great in those two years since. People can say what they want about how he got his stats and all that but I don't like the Gators, and after having watched just about every game of theirs, I think his numbers are legit. Sometimes I scratch my head at how anybody can stop that Florida offense.
  9. And Tebow's your heisman winner. Very close, though... I think.
  10. ... On second thought, I'm glad Missouri got screwed since otherwise, we wouldn't get this picture... http://aycu28.webshots.com/image/38067/2001122030817068042_rs.jpg
  11. It's Brady's.
  12. So would that make Dixon your #1 had he not missed time? I just don't see where Dixon even compares... Look, it's not even close. I love Darren McFadden but his only prayer is the voters not wanting to give it to a Sophomore, which would be criminal. Tim Tebow has to be the Heisman winner. 22 Rushing Touchdowns... which is 7 more than Darren McFadden and is an all-time SEC record. That is insane for a quarterback who doesn't run an option offense. 51 Total TD's by a single player in a conference like the SEC is incredible. Tebow should run away with it. ... and I hate the Gators.
  13. Wow. Just wow. That's a lot of money for what he did last season.
  14. And this site looks like a fake. That says it was updated at 12:44 AM and yet, we still haven't heard this from any other source.
  15. The Ravens had success when they blitzed. They had a great deal less success when they didn't... so why didn't they blitz on those fourth downs? I think you're starting to find teams figuring out where you can have success against the Patriots. If Billick was even slightly capable of playcalling the Ravens win that game.
  16. No possession. Pats will get the call, though. How many freakin' breaks can a single team get in a game?
  17. Maybe I'd make a lousy NFL coach but if I'd have considered a fake punt there. :dunno: Who'd have seen that one coming?
  18. Brian Billick... what the f*** is up with this playcalling?
  19. Huge third down coming up.
  20. Stopped 'em on third down! Ravens D really stepped up there.
  21. Holding 'em to a FG was big there after the Maroney play. If they can eat up some time and at least get in FG range, they'll be in good shape.
