  1. Yeah, this one's been a long time coming since getting a new arena in Seattle looks pretty bleak and Oklahoma City did a great job in embracing the NBA and the Hornets. I hope they don't follow the path of some other NBA teams and keep their team name in a place where it doesn't make much sense -- like the Jazz and Lakers to name two. Pretty much since the new ownership took over in Seattle this looked like the fate of basketball in Seattle. Hope they enjoy Kevin Durant for this one year.
  2. Interesting thing about that game, Crunchy. Apparently some of the VaTech jerseys were stolen before the game, so some players had to wear Georgia Tech white uniforms and sharpie out some details. http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/496/fulljgetty77583786mz006sz7.jpg
  3. It is... ... except now is where I start to miss Colorado. I didn't much like that state -- it was nice for a while, but after 14 years, I needed a change of scenery -- I certainly won't miss the weather forecasts this time of year or how dry it is out there when it's not snowing, and I always thought that I'd never look back except for for friends. But I realize tonight, watching the Nuggets on ESPN, just how much I am going to miss watching the Nuggets. I also miss the sports talk radio out in Colorado, for whatever reason I can't even get AM radio here in Ocala. :dunno: But watching the Nuggets seven or eight times a season isn't going to cut it for me... I may have to move back. And I'm completely serious when I say that. edit: What does that say about me when my potential reason for moving back isn't my friends or potential work, but the Nuggets and Broncos?
  4. You may be able to eventually watch the interview on CBS' website on their "Innertube" or whatever it's called... not sure, though.
  5. Not quite one game in, but the Nuggets offense sans JR Smith looks good. Smith will be back after he serves his three game suspension. The defense... um... well... doesn't quite look as good.
  6. Absolutely. And chemistry is less important in baseball than football.
  7. Aww f***. I could've sworn I set up my rosters a couple weeks in advance earlier this week. Guess not. Oh well, no way I was winning this week.
  8. I never said it did. I said you got what you had coming to you... But with that said, if it was all about the money wouldn't he have listened to the Yankees offer since that's where the most money probably was? I figure that he didn't fit in in that situation and the fans didn't help.
  9. And if I had a penny for everytime someone based him *and* he deserved it... well then, Sir, I'd be just as rich as you.
  10. Francona was great in this series... he was great in the playoffs... and, in my opinion, he was great all season long. Love him or hate him, the players love him and his relationship with his players contributed more to this particular result than any in-game decision he's made all season.
  11. By the way, did anybody see Georgia's 70 man touchdown celebration?! Maybe a brilliant strategy by Mark Richt!
  12. This is the greatest night of my life. I love that he did it during the game. It didn't take anything away from the Sox win and just added to the misery Yankees fans are feeling. Did you Yankees fans ever think you got what you deserved? This guy was the best in the business in his time in New York and until this year, you treated him like absolute s***.
  13. I'm speechless. Honestly. 2007 World Series Champions... I like that!
  14. Play of the year. I don't care if it's D-III or not... http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3083220&categoryId=2564308 The six fans in attendance sure were treated to a hell of a football game.
  15. It's like the offense was just going through the motions after the third, and then flipped on a switch when the Rockies made a game of it to put it out of reach. It's remarkable, really. This lineup is incredible when all of the parts are in working order, even with Ortiz and Manny not being at their best the last two or so games.
  16. Fair enough... it was still a real great moment, BB looking him in the eyes for a split second and all. Gotta hand it to him for that insightful postgame interview.
  17. I don't actually see one but there is a little hangup as they're walking by so I'm wondering if one got slipped in there. But upon further review, there is no conclusive evidence of a handshake. Therefore, the ruling on the field that there was no handshake stands. Belichick's a jerkoff.
  18. Ahh, I missed that. Looks like there may have been a slight handshake after all, but he barely acknowledged the man. And I forgot all about that great postgame interview.
  19. I actually can't find a video of the Peyton Manning one, but Peyton goes through a bunch of people to get to BB and BB ignores his outreached hand. Peyton then just pats him on the stomach as they walk by.
  20. ... "Gagging like a bukkake queen"?
  21. These tend to be, for better or worse, a little more scientific... Schilling: B- http://inside-edge.com/postseason07/ws/prc/t1g2.htm Jimenez: C- http://inside-edge.com/postseason07/ws/prc/t2g2.htm
  22. Yeah, as Holliday was diving back he had to pull his hand back so Youk couldn't tag it. Got caught napping because he didn't expect the throw... great job by everyone involved on the Red Sox side.
