I dont think the Sox would have to send top prospects over for Wickman. Maybe 2 mediocre prospects and maybe a DiNardo type of guy...theres plenty of those guys (back and forthe between AAA and the majors) in Pawtucket. ...I dont think Buster Olney was saying that discussion were taking place between the Sox and Guardians, he just said that it would fit well for the Sox, so I doubt something like this will go down.

havent heard anything on this...not too much in favor of trading Hughes, as hes our top pitching prospect..I dont want to see Garcia go either, but i would rather send him than Hughes. Ramirez has been in the system for a while and isnt projected to be anything special, and we got Sierra from the A's for Chris Hammond 2 offseasons ago...i dont mind trading any of those guys with the exception of Hughes. Its no secret I wouldnt mind Griffey. I also like Aurilia, and was in favor of getting him in the offseason when those rumors were swirling, he could serve as a good replacement for Sanchez if hes out for a long period of time...right now hes on the 60 day DL so thats not promising news. Also Merker wouldnt hurt as he would provide some help from the left side. S I say go for it (without trading Hughes)

i didnt complain about you guys boasting, i complained that you guys labeled all Yankee fans as irrational. Its you guys complaining about the 26 to 6 thing. My saying 26 to 6 is like your avatar saying "Defending Champs". The purpose of the avatar is to represent the fact that you guys are the defending champs, and rightfully so. My username is representing the fact that we have 26 championships (also rightfully so) compared to your 6.

you're right, it was wrong of me to say part A, because Cashman does it too to keep players from the Sox....btu I stand by the rest....in NY we're focused on us winning, if you guys lose its just a bonus, but we're not looking up at the out of town scoreboard all night to make sure you guys are losing ...Canseco was a Cashman move, George didnt want him. And in the Post last week Cashman was talking about when he got Canseco, he said it was to block the Blue Jays from getting him, not the Sox...but regardless

thats the problem with a lot of Sox fans....not all, but pretty close. there more concerned with the Yankees then themselves. When Theo's analyzing a possible trade he asks himself A: "Is this a guy the Yanks want and if so, we gotta snatch him up" or B: "Can this guy help us beat the Yankees?" And the fans are the same, a lot of them prefer a Yankee loss opposed to a Red Sox win. Yankee fans, I admit have taken it to a similar extent, but not as far as some Sox fans take it, and havent felt this way as long as Sox fans.

guys...hes barely above-average speed...not yet where you could classify him with Bernie in his prime, Damon, Jeter, etc...hes probably a little faster than Cano, who isnt very fast for a 2B

what line?...Yanks/Sox games are SOLD OUT...and if they werent, no way you could get them for $50.....scalpers i know ask $100+ for bleacher seats for Yanks/Sox ...not that this is of any significance, just thought id throw it in ....i wouldnt even try, its not worth $50 because theres pretty much no chance of getting the seats

A) if it was rigged, it would have been rigged to benefit the Rangers. Its always good for a sport if its major franchise in its major market is making the headlines, in this case good for the NHL if the Rangers are doing good, good for the NBA if the Knicks are doing good, etc. Im not saying it because im from NY, its been said time and time again by analysts and experts, its a fact. it couldnt have been rigged, because if you watched the whole thing they explained how a rep from every team, an NHL rep, and a rep from some law firm were all in the "secured location" where the lottery took place and would have seen if a team had more balls then they were supposed to. When it came down to the Ducks and Pittsburgh, i was pullin' for the Ducks. It doesnt fit that a guy whose being billed as the "next Lemiux" (sry if i spelled it wrong, i was never a big hockey guy, baseball is my specialty ) to play on the same team as him. But true, Pittsburgh hockey needs all the help it can get as it was on the verge of relocation at one point. Im pretty sure he was already named the Coyotes coach...could be wrong because as I said im not big into hockey, but im pretty sure.

We dont really know if Melky is a bad CF yet, yea he struggled a little bit when he first came up, but i still dont think we gave him a fair shot, just look at Robinson Cano. Cano looked just as bad at second when he first came up, but we kept throwing him out there and look at him now. My preference would be Melky over anyone else, but if hes going to hurt the team then i wouldnt mind a Pierre or a Griffey until Melkys ready.

thats odd, i remember when he first came up people were raving about his defensive abilities and his spped on the bases.....but regardless Iwouldnt want him on the Yankees.

most of the Yankee fans who dont like A-Rod dont like him because they are still convinced hes trying to take Jeters job. Its odd all the disrespect Alex takes now that hes with the Yankees, not just from Sox fans, but from Yankee fans and other fans as well. Remember when he was in Texas, people were arguing about how much better he is than Bonds and how hes the best player in the game now and one of the best of all time. Now because he didnt have a Ruthian year last year (he only had a really good year, granted his numbers with RISP were bad) hes not even in that conversation...this guy is still the best player in the game (forget about last year, he had a so so year back in 2001, his first year in texas, then went on to have MVP years every year after that, hes just the kind of guy who needs a year to adjust, and thats appearant this year as hes putting up MVP numbers) and hes treated so unfairly, he was never treated like this before.

Fair enough. but i find it hard to believe that you guys would ride him this hard if he was on the Sox, and was just as much of an *******. Personally, and obviously i dont know him well, i dont think hes an *******, granted the Arroyo play was Busch, but i see the point that he and Torre made that "he was doing anything possible", because had it not been reversed we probably would have won that game (i believe at least), but anyways...he does so muich s*** for charities, especially the Boys and Girls club. Hes very gracious to the fans, and represents himself well. but on the other hand, someone I know who plays in the Angels system (not gonna mention names) said that when Bret Prinz got traded to the Angels in Spring Training, he was talking about how much of an ******* A-Rod is, he said things like "he thinks hes the best player ever to play the game", "he thinks he runs s*** over there" "A-Rod isnt anything in that clubhouse, Jeter runs the show there", and things of that nature, so in all honesty I cant deny tht hes an ******* based on what Prinz said.
