  1. I personally believe Sheffield when he said last year that he didnt intentionally use. His statement was very specific and made sense. He said that the steroid he used was in the form of a cream that he was told by a trainer to rub on his knee, which he was rehabbing at the time due to surgery. I have no reason to not believe him.
  2. if a Yankee tested positive and I "shifted blame" to another player who i suspected of using, you would all be all over me.
  3. i thought it was children with Down, not autism. Could be wrong though I wasnt on here trying to accuse Albert of using, i was simply saying that if you are going to accuse one person who is having success of using steroids (without proof might i add, and not to mention he passed the test), then you have to accuse everyone else, if not then just shutup. Yankydave, how is he a fraud?...please explain, otherwise just leave because this is ridiculous tht you follow him around from forum to forum to antagonize him.
  4. well ya never know, a rookie comes up and puts up the numbers over a 5 year span that he does, he lies about his age so theres always the possibility....but anyways ur right, he is an amazing player.
  5. trading him for Payton was a really bad decision. I hate Dave Roberts
  6. Hes brutal with the pen??....what would you like him to do, leave the starter whose getting shelled in the game so he can give up even more runs?
  7. i dont think theres any denying that Franconas not the greatest manager in the world.
  8. Im tired of this subject. Im tired of Jason taking all this heat from people. Yea, he's had a great July and August so far, but lets look at other players...Derek Lee. How come nobody points their fingers at him, hes having an MVP year, granted he was always a oretty good player, but he was never this good. How about Pujols, since his rookie year hes just been on fire, what player has EVER had he type of first 5 years that Albert has. (btw, regardless of his listed age, there is no doubt that this guy s at least 30 lol). And how come people only get on the steroid users/former steroid users who are doing good. I hear very little people getting on the likes of Wilson Alvarez, Tony Saunders, Craig Biggio, Ryan Franklin, Alex Sanchez, Jorge Piedra, Grant Roberts, etc.
  9. Joe Torre's gonna get fired just like Theo Epstein is having an affair with Trot Nixon. Torre will never be fired by the Yankees. George isnt the way he was back in the 70's and 80's. Its not logical to fire a man who took you to 6 World Series, winning 4. Its not smart to fire a man who is looked up to so much by the captain of the team. Its not reasonable to fire somebody who has done something no ever man has done since George Steinbrenner has owned the team..learned to deal with him. This is Joe's 10th year as manager of the Yankees, no other manager has lasted that long under Steinbrenner, there is no way that the Yankees are going to fire him; sure hes made some questionable decisions (pitching Jeff Weaver in the 11th inning of game 4 in the 2003 WS, not bunting on Schilling in game 6 last year, etc..) but what manager hasnt. And when Joe does leave (whether its because he was fired, retired, or contract expired) the replacement would be Girardi, not Mazzo.
  10. i think they should leave him in the pen, hes obviously been successful there, if you start him, he pitches more innings, batters have more of a chance to see him work, and he could expose his flaws easily. Thats why Mo never worked out as a starter. Plus, hes pretty much always been a reliever, and teaching someone a new pitch isnt that easy, teaching is one thing, but he has to be good with the pitch he was taught, and thas not a guarantee. Like Tek said, its not broke, so dont fix it
  11. possibly none, remember, he was vital in getting to the postseason in '96
  12. hopefully we can add Mazzo to our coaching staff again. He would be a terrific asset to the team, especially when we play Baltimore. Wouldnt be surprised to see him back on the staff, possibly knocking White out of his spot as the 1B Coach or being like a "co-bench coach" with Girardi.
  13. HGH is a possibility ...but i hope not
  14. i dont think he needs another big contract with all the money hes getting from us
  15. and plus...if he pitched good, it would have been a nice way to stick it to you guys
  16. i would have preferred him over Wright
  17. ive seen that commercial ONCE....i loved it haha, my favorite pitcher of all time (Clemens) and The new ace (or so we thought at the time i saw it) in one commercial. I saw it right before Spring Training, I wonder why i avent seen it again. Anyways, i couldnt remember what it was a commercial for, thanks for reminding me
  18. i believe it was more than once....and "all the time" was an exaggeration
  19. i wouldnt be surprised if the call was made by someone from here haha lol
  20. i didnt mind him making the statement concerning the trade, i thought that was admirable. Showing that he wanted to be a Yankee. But the interview with New York magazine makes me sick. As far as I knew Sheff and Jeter were friends, they would go out and eat together after games sometimes. According to a friend of mine who is in the Angels system, when Bret Prinz got traded from the Yanks to the Angels in spring training, he said that A-Rod walked around acting like he was the greatest player the world had ever seen, but it was in fact Jeter who ran the show. So according to Sheff, Jeter isnt the leader, and according to Prinz, Jeter is the leader. I'd like to believe Prinz on this one. I wonder what the relationship between Jeter and Sheff is like today in Toronto.
  21. Lowes a f***in scumbag. Hes f***in with a f***in TV reporter who herself is married. I cant believe I pushed so hard for the Yankees to sign him in the offseason.
  22. i still cant believe we passed up on this guys for a f***in Shortstop :dunno: . The last thing we need is a damn shortstop
  23. guess im too late..Leetchey signed
  24. I REALLY hope Leetch doesnt go there, would be nice to see him back in Blue, Ranger Blue.
  25. it does....i didnt start this to start an arguement, i was just wondering the thoughts on Wells from The Sox fans.
