  3. i havent done any of that and i seem to be the least welcome person here
  4. agreed...Ichiro is just in a pretty good slump right now...when he gets back to form he'll be great again Ichiro is just an amazing ballplayer with all the advantages he gives himself
  5. i went to edit my sig, but when i was done it said that it was too long, but in actuality it was shorter than it was prior. Then it wouldnt let me make it the same as I had it before....so now im stuck with what i got....whats the problem?
  6. u guys should calm down...remember last year when you were something like 14 out in August and came back to make it a race for the division (which we won at least)....well we're not stuck with as big a deficit and we have more time to come back than you did...if you guys can do it in a month and a half then we can do it in 3+ months....theres still lots of ball to be played boys
  7. wow, gettin a little uptight there over a stupid comment.... i gotta agree with everybodu else, the Sox would be much more content with keeping Damon around for the rest of the year and possibly losing him which would result in getting a 1st round draft pick (assuming that MLB ranks him as a class A or B free agent, which they will no doubt do) than trade him for a package of prospects and lose his leadershiip and defensive abilities, as well as his leadoff abilities
  8. in the offseason he said he would entertain the idea as a a last resort...but we all know that if George wants him, George will have him...i think it will be a bidding war into February to be honest with you
  9. everyones interested in Baez what a f***in loser signing in TB 2 offseasons ago, he really coulda cashed in with the Mets or Sox, or the Yankees (but we didnt persue him)
  10. i try that, but cant do it for long because its gets too complicated to listen to with the TV delays for live TV nowadays...whats it like a 3 or 4 second delay for baseball...its ridiculous hearing what happens 3 or 4 seconds before it happens...they need to drop Buck and McCarver and put on Lyons and Brenneman (who are without a doubt the most annoying broadcasters on the face of the earth..but still better than Buck and McCarver...i think Deion should dump a bucket of water on him again )
  11. i cant f***in stand Harrelson
  12. are you sure we're listening to the same Michael Kay.....he doesnt only talk about Jeter, and if you listen to his radio show you would hear when he rips Jeter for whatever reason (he he deserves ripping)....Kay brings a great perspective and a hometown, bronx born point of view....i think you should consider listening to your hometown broadcaster a little more often.... any of you who think that any NESN broadcaster is better than Jim Kaat needs to order MLB Extra innings, and listen to some more Yankee games...Jim Kaat is an amazing broadcaster who brings great knowledge and prespective to all aspects of the game (ESPECIALLY pitching, which he does a great job evaluating on the air). Ken Singleton is very good, not great but very good. Paul O'neill is a lot of fun to listen to, he'll make you laugh during a game, and Bobby Murcer is just great to listen to, he reminds me of when Scooter did the games. Think of how much better YES would be than it already is if it kept all of the guys who were doing Yankee games on MSG/FOX before YES started, like Al Trautwig, Tim McCarver (who granted is definately, along with Joe Buck, the worst combination in the world to listen to), etc.
  13. and who were the people who took this poll....was it a nationwide poll with a balanced mix of different fans, or at least a balanced mix of Yankee and Red Sox fans?
  14. i wouldnt go that far, kapler and nixon double teamed Tanyon Sturtze, and it later became a triple team with i believe Ortiz jumping in....f***in little bitches, cant even fight one on one
  15. yea right, you guys are just being f***in biased....i do like the Remy and Orsillo combination but ill take any combination of Michael Kay, Jim Kaat, Bobby Murcer, Ken Singleton, Paul O'Neill, David Justice, John Sterling, Suzyn Waldman, and Jim Leyritz ANY day iver the NESN broadcasters....granted Leyritz is pretty boring and thankfully John Fillipelli is keeping him exclusive to Staten Island Yankees games.
  16. it sure is a beautiful sight.....oh well, no longer can we throw those 4 numbers at you guys....love the pic though.
  17. rumors have it that since the people who make the "2K" games (ESPN Major League baseball 2K5) bought the exclusive rights to the MLB and MLBPA liscense for video games starting next year (in retaliation of EA buying exclusive NFL rights for Madden) that EA will put out another MVP Baseball game in November or December (rather than spring like they usually do, but cant because they lose the rights effective the beginning of the year) then will replace MVP in the spring (and i guess for the next 7 years, as thats how long Sega, who makes the 2K games, have the exclusive rights) with "College Baseball 2006; Road to Omaha" go Texas!
  18. good luck with this kid guys, hes been dynamite all year down here and very hyped up in days prior to the draft, ur lucky he stuck around....the reason is probably Boras, the other teams didnt want a repeat of Jared Weaver/Stephen Drew all over again....anway, good luck signing him....he should be fun to watch
  19. i cant f***in stand Schilling, granted he beat us last year (after we DESTROYED HIM in game 1) in game 6 but wut a f***in jerkoff....before he got traded to the Sox all he would say is how much he wanted to be traded to the Yankees, and ONLY the Yankees (and Philly, but he was mainly talking Yankees) then he accepts a trade to go up there to Beantown and all he can do is talk about the Yankees and how much he hates them and how much "they suck"...damm Curt, make you're f***in mind up
  20. no, theres plenty of great pitchers not in the hall of fame and plenty of great pitchers who wont ever be in the hall of fame..... Yanksrule, i gotta agree with the sox fans here...how could you even put Dontrelle's name in there this early in his career, i can understand Santana because though hes young and just recently established, hes been around for a little while....but mentioning Willis is just a dam shame...sure he had a great rookie year, and is having a great year this year but you cant forget last year...a pitcher needs to be somewhat consistant to be mentioned with those other names
  21. hes got 2, both going through the Yankees to get it...remember the year 2001??
  22. i bet jeter would disagree with your statement, no person alive wanted it more than Jeter
  23. thanks...i knew it was something hansen, surprised i didnt remember.....this is the only time i really got mad about a draft pick, especially since the yanks took a SS over Hansen, which is the last thing we need right now.....neway...congrats Sox fans, if the scouting reports and the projections of this kid are accurate you guys are gonna have a real good pitcher, could pull a chad cordero and be in the bigs at the end of this year if he signs soon enough so that he oculd get some minor league time in.... but im pulling for him to not sign, play sum indy ball this year or something, maybe for the Long Island Ducks or something, go back in the draft next year and get picked by the Yanks lol...just kidding, unlikely anyway
  24. i love Flutie, too bad he passed up the Jets' pffer to go to the Pats, but all the luck in the world to him this year
  25. i got Texas...not because i think theyre the best team or anything because i hardly follow college baseball, but because thats my favorite baseball program....Longhorns baby!! lol
