According to Karl Ravech (lol what) Gene Lamont is no longer a candidate to be manager. So that only leaves Valentine. Unless there is something going on no one knows of.

Why is this "are you in the front office" defense pulled up every single time? So damn lame. Why don't you offer something up with a little thought? If you want more than assumptions and opinions on an issue then get off a message board and get a job in the organization. Seriously though, how is it not bad that the organization has had the candidates interviewed and in place for a long time now, but no decision has been made? It just doesn't look good. After a collapse as large as this you'd think they'd show some urgency and make a statement, but nope. They've sat around letting time pass. Why would a free agent want to go to manager-less team and a team that seems to be having internal issues?

I like this idea. I like the idea of interleague spread out through the entire year too. Will make for more competition and a more level playing field, especially if each team plays each team a more equal amount of time. -
Do you happen to know something they don't? These guys are all making good points. I don't get how some people on this board seem to misconstrue having thoughts and opinions on the organization as someone factually knowing what is going on in the organization.

I think a lot of teams have seen through his 2 WS championships here and see his ineptitude. The fact he was looked over by 3 teams, 2 of which hire former players with no managing experience at all, and the 3rd being run by his former GM(which should of been a good sign for him, and still they didn't even want to interview him) is very telling.

Drew's OBPxDSIER/NOTUPG(On base percentage multiplied by days spent in emergency rooms divided by number of tampons used per game) was consistently in the top 5 of right fielder's from 2007-2011. He will be missed.

Well is the player Salty or not? We all know it is. Like it's been said already you can't just post those stats and say would you want that player. That's ridiculous. Way more things go into that decision beyond just a couple of stats.
