  1. The Jets trade might fall through. And I can say that with a straight face because while I hate the Yankees at least they have been consistently good throughout their existence(or the majority of it) giving them a legitimate reason to be regarded as a top franchise meanwhile the Pats had a nice run in 1 decade yet the majority of their existence was a f***ing joke but still the media wants to pimp them out and all of a sudden they have millions of fans who have an insane sense of entitlement. And I hate Hockey so I don't even care about the Red Wings.
  2. If Tim Tebow got traded to the Pats I'd have a field day. The world's most annoying player getting traded to the worlds most annoying franchise would be great. ESPN would spontaneously combust out of excitement then be resurrected as the "24 hour Tim Tebow, Tom Brady, Patriots Worshipping Channel". Or should I saw Whorshipping, since Tom and Tim would be whoring themselves out constantly for more attention than the other
  3. good, because that is exactly where Bard should be.
  4. From mlbtraderumors Wow it's awesome to have a manager that isn't a puppet. Iglesias really should be the opening day starter
  5. This thread is further proof that being a Yankee fan should be considered a mental illness. How delusional can you people get
  6. If the Red Sox threw in 5 grand more they would of got some nice Spinnin 22 inch Rims to go along with that Mercedes
  7. http://www.talksox.com/forum/damn-yankees/16283-andy-pettitte-returns-yankees.html#post733086 here ya go
  8. How long have you been a fan? Since May of 2003. How did you become a Red Sox fan? I never really liked baseball growing up, I was always into football. I kinda hated it for awhile actually. But when I was in high school ROTC my freshman year they had a field trip to go to see the Red Sox against the Twins. I thought it'd be cool to go since I heard about Fenway Park before and how it's supposedly great. I ended up going, sitting by myself in the grandstand behind home plate. The sox lost that day, but I fell in love. When I walked into Fenway it was pretty much the greatest thing ever in my life at that point. It was so big, so beautiful. The green monster was mind blowing at first. It was my first sporting event ever and it was overwhelming. Then during the game it was awesome to see how intense everyone was about the game. It was like there were 30,000 people there, but they all shared 1 brain for the time they were there. Who is your favorite current Red Sox player? David Ortiz. I will never forget all his walkoffs and everything Who is your favorite all-time Red Sox player? Since I've been watching? Ramirez. Sorry. Also Wakefield. Before then, maybe Jim Rice Who is your least favorite Red Sox player ever? John Lackey, JD Drew, Lugo What state/country do you live in (to see how spread out the fan base is here)? Western Massachusetts What is your favorite memory being a Red Sox fan? Bill Mueller's walkoff in July 2004 after that insane game where Tek slapped A-Rod and 2004 ALCS. Favorite in person moment was going to a game in 2005 where Wakefield pitched a CG against the Angels where Ortiz hit a walkoff in the bottom of the 9th. I actually won the tickets for that game on this board I believe. Whoever was responsible for that, I thank you so so so much. When was the first time you ever went to Fenway Park? May 4th(?), 2003 Who is your least favorite Yankee player of all-time? A-Rod of course. Texiera. And though he was long before my time I'd say Reggie Jackson. Seemed like an annoying prick Any other comments that you would like to add? huh...wow
  9. I'm cool with this as long as they make it so that 2 wild cards cannot come from the same division.
  10. I'd like to see the people who voted A, and hear their reasoning behind it, but I'm guessing that was all just trolling anyway. This board sure has become a parody of itself lately. I chose D+. The rotation needed to be strengthened and it was not. We went into last season with what was thought to be one of the best rotations in the game and it imploded. That was not foreseen of course but now that 2 of it's members have been replaced with a set up man and either Aceves or some guy picked out of a dump it's weaker than it was going into last year, and that isn't good at all. I think either this rotation will perform similar to last year, which isn't good, be worse, which obviously isn't good, or there is a small small chance it will be better. But that would be a huge surprise. I'm fine with the bullpen pretty much, especially if it has Aceves in it. Moving Scutaro didn't make sense, unless there is something I'm missing. For 2 years he was pretty consistent, and I'd rather have that than uncertainty at SS. I'm not even entirely sure what the RF situation is, I'm guessing a platoon situation. Ross and Kalish when he is healthy, right? I'm ok with this and would of rather gotten a SP than a RF so I'm not really gonna complain. The Ortiz situation was blown out of proportion, and I'm not too concerned about it. I'd give him higher if he worked on the Rotation more but that can change during the season, hopefully when it's not too late. Also the Scutaro thing.
  11. This thread makes me want to jump off a f***ing bridge
  12. A lot better off? I was never a big fan of either, but my god is this comment ridiculous
  13. It's a Friday night in New England, most of us will be shitfaced tonight no matter what I will tip a 40 to the memory of dis knuckleballin homie tonight
  14. He was always one of my favorites. It's going to be weird watching a Red Sox team without him. Oh well, it was time.
  15. He will be missed. No one in the game could watch a 3-2 pitch go right down the middle of the plate like Drew could. No one.
  16. this thread is gold
  17. I just can't see that happening. I want to badly but no
  18. -mlbtraderumors This is all just becoming stupid. Come on.
  19. This right here... I didn't think of it that way but it's true. Expect a backlash though
  20. No, I read it was just short distance throwing.
  21. John Lackey dies mid rehab from a lethal combination of alcohol poisoning and high cholesterol brought on by fast food chicken
  22. I don't have a bias. Believe whatever you want to, but I sure don't. There has been plenty of times I've agreed with you, and plenty of times I have not. I don't try to stir anything up at all, and I certainly don't have negative views. That negative view s*** is just something you made up right now. For an example of this you can go back and look at my posts from the regular season and see how many times I disagreed with a700 and clashed with him, yet now I pretty much I agree with him. And there is no solution because there is no problem. At least there isn't a problem for the people on this board who like to discuss things without getting so disgruntled over what others believe. And no, I won't tell you to shut the f*** up or any of that garbage because I won't stoop to the same level you have of calling people idoits or acting condescending just because I don't agree. Believe whatever you want, that is fine, but stop getting on people's ass and acting pretentious just because they think differently than you.
