  1. ok ok im taking my deep breathes.......and it helped.....i just wanted to vent cause i dont do it often...built up emotion breaks out once in a while haha...... yes we will be fine but im still seeing glaring holes in this team.....but i gotta ask....was anyone else SHOCKED Alex Cora got a few hits.....weiiiiird fantastic hitting streak Johnny....very well done
  2. welcome to the forum.....it could use some colorful photos....very good taste
  3. I'm sorry I just have to vent....who are these guys and what have they done with the Red Sox??? No motivation, nothing but underachievers, losing important games at home, starting off the second part of the season like s***. I'm starting to wonder if this team is good enough to stay in it. I know they arent far out but something needs to change, someone needs to get traded, someone needs to get called up...i dont know. The Sox get run over by Toronto, the Yanks, and Baltimore.....now Tampa Bay beats a dead Red Sox batting lineup??? If we cant hit then this is going to continue to get nasty cause our pitching is still mediocre at best. I'm absolutly disgusted with the play of a supposed defending champion team...they left the door open and everyone has just walked in... Feel free to step in anytime Theo
  4. the way this is going...Red Sox will drop the division tonight
  5. at some point ill say yes.....right now we need a 2B and we are having trouble deciding between Pedroia and Ramirez.....I can't say which I would rather see....both have good talent but I think Hanley would bring maybe a little more spark...while Pedroia wouldn't make as many mistakes....i dont know its a tough call
  6. well if he is gorgeous then thats all i care about.....?
  7. just another reason for us to bring up Hanley or Dustin
  8. ohh ok...thanks for your great knowledge sweet chin in that case screw it haha....who in there right mind would want Halama or Embree
  9. i think he is expensive last i heard
  10. what do you guys think about Chris Hammond?? I know he is old but what an upgrade he would be over Embree. I heard a few rumors about him but nothing that has picked up any steam.
  11. ooohhh yeah the rumor i hate to say it but this deal looks bleak. my hopes are still high but nobody can find an inside red sox source that says we have a shot. all i gather is we are up there with baltimore but they are the leading contenders.
  12. yeah i didnt think about that.... well whatever they do i hope the new player can give us a spark and a strong bat at the end of the lineup....someone who won't leave so many people on base.
  13. yeah what happened to Abe I havent heard anything???
  14. I agree but it doesn't give the Sox many lefty relievers and you know how much the Sox love matchups. Go ahead and mention Myers name like i havent heard it before but he is a situational reliever and can't take on the task by himself. Only other lefty we have is Halama and he isn't much better....so having three choices is better than Myers or Myers. Don't get me wrong....I hate Alan Embree more than any other player on the Red Sox and would love to see him replaced. My only thing is there might not be a huge difference between Hanley and Dustin at this point so they may just take the guy who is already on the roster.
  15. yes thats what he meant. hanley is playing 2nd at portland....which is a sign they might try him up at the majors. i think he is on the 40 man roster so they wouldn't need to designate someone for assignment if they brought him up (im not positive how that works). Pedroia on the other hand they would need to release someone. i know there are players we would love to send on there way but many are contributors in some way or another and its hard to dump a player to bring up an inexperienced rookie. they might both have an opportunity to do well and either way they would be an upgrade. ill let the sox figure out who because i dont know enough about either to make a decision. i do like the low number of strikeouts Pedroia has. as a side note....hansen took a physical today which means he is close to signing. if he goes and dominates the minors early (as many predict) he would probably join the team within a month or two. i would love to see that.
  16. I have no doubt they would move him to 1st. Bill Mueller is not going to play 2nd base and Youk will continue to be a backup when he is called up again. Unless the Sox can turn around and deal Lowell away...Kevin Millar would be the one to go and there are still talks with Houston about taking Millar. I was talking to some people however and check this out..... IF this deal were to go through there is a chance the Sox would try to spin Lowell out to Philadelphia for bullpen help. Something else would be included from what I understand and the target would be Billy Wagner. If Theo Epstein is able to land AJ Burnett and Billy Wagner I would be most impressed.
  17. I agree you could dangle Shoppach and I heard Abe Alvarez name come up. Lefty who will end up being a bullpen pitcher would possibly do well in Florida with his control. I hate the money Mike Lowell makes BUT.... He could move to 1st and although he is struggling now...his numbers show he has some power and would certainly benefit by being in Boston....not to mention he is a complete upgrade from Millar. A right handed hitter who would be placed behind Nixon in the lineup that can hit some home runs. I also hear that Lowell is a good guy and would seem like a good fit for the Sox clubhouse.
  18. where did you see that??? all I am seeing is Baltimore trades Bigbie, Penn, Kline, and Julio for Burnett and Lowell. As much as that trade looks like it helps the Orioles rotation....it kills there bullpen. Kline and Julio are the setup men for BJ Ryan and even though they are having rough years it gives the Orioles good matchups. I dont know if this trade makes sense for Baltimore it seems like too much which leads me to believe there is something else going on. Gammons said at the game the Sox are not involved in the trade (although they would like to be). I've seen that before from Theo where Nomar was not available and then BAM...gone. Without question he likes to keep things silent and deny all reports until a deal is finished....i dont know what to think but I do feel the Sox need changes.....We got outpitched by the Yankees and there pitching staff is garbage.
  19. i thought true yankees were only made in october??? or maybe legends are only made in october....anyone seen my bloody sock???
  20. oh don't be such a bitch what did you expect me to say....REDDING IS AMAZING....you should see how awesome he was in San Diego....you guys got a winner there....here is some intelligence...0-5 with a 9.08 ERA....he is lights out....so as i said before... he sucks he stinks he blows he bites he smells he loses and most importantly for the Yanks he's gay
  21. I was just looking and Pedroia had another good game yesturday...as did Hanley going 2-4 with a homer a 2B and 4 RBI bringing his average up to .280
  22. he suck he stinks he blows he bites he smells he loses and most importantly for the Yanks he's gay
  23. not to mention we have about 50 bellhorn threads....thanks for playing
  24. I think Declarman needs more time to figure out how to throw strikes...from what I understand he is a little wild although has good velocity (too much like Mantei at this point). I woulnd't be against bringing up DiNardo or Alvarez. Either or both to replace my idea about Lester but my first choice would be Papelbon.
