  1. If nobody would give up anything for Millar or Bellhorn....why are they on our team if they are that worthless....god these two give me a rash....another great game by the two of them against the Os when we needed guys to step up with our big bats having a night off
  2. keep me updated with the schilling performance
  3. Yeah Mirabelli.....oh wait hes a backup not a starter.....still rough stretch for him
  4. How about Millar and Bellhorn's performance....talk about some good at bats
  5. Yanks are killing Guardians.....Orioles are gonna get a cheap win......suck
  6. We might run out of time in this game
  7. Keith Foulke for Billy Wagner
  8. I've heard two rumors now that Payton could be part of a AJ Burnett deal but it sounds like it would involve more than one team. Payton and 1-2 more things may be going somewhere then relief help would actually go to Florida...then Burnett may come here....god I hope thats true.
  9. I dont think Burnett would go to Chicago.... Burnett knocked out 14 hitters in 6 innings....the guy is awesome and would dominate for the Red Sox....I sure hope that rumor is right
  10. 4 games up in the AL East means absolutly NOTHING....you have to act like you are 10 games out....thats the best way to approach the situation...if you start getting comfortable being in 1st...get ready cause it will close up before you can blink... I refuse to be alright with the status of the Red Sox because it can only be better and the following players need to step up there game to be apart of it: Bellhorn Millar Foulke Mantei Embree This is a championship team that needs championship players. Baseball players come and go but life with the Red Sox moves on. If you lose that mentallity or the players dont live up to there part and start bitching about the management or coaching moves....time to move on. Shut up and play the game whatever your roll may be.
  11. lol dont worry it wont last for the rest of his career
  12. If we wanted Helton we would have to give our 1-2-3-our whole farm system.
  13. Something makes me think a trade is already in place. Its only a matter of time until it hits....this move only makes sense to trade him. I'm actually a little excited to see what Adam Stern can do in Jays place.
  14. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/story/8627641
  15. None of them have fit into the equation for our success thus far so who cares. Foulke and Mantei have a combined 6.36 ERA, Schilling hasn't pitched yet, Bellhorn is batting .222 and Millar has hit HRs in only 3 games this year (only one of them meant anything)
  16. LOL so true....that was the nice thing with Pokey last year..."and its a great dive by Pokey Reese to get the out"
  17. What is management doing to the team???? Nothing yet. Looks like the same roster to me besides the backups, right?? What they need to do is upgrade....the right side of the infield is horrible. Our 2B and 1B starters have combined for: .247 BA / 10 HR / 59 RBI / 132 SO / .343 OBP and it seems like balls are always getting through the right side.
  18. HAHA that is very true. I don't like the way Damon came off saying the comments but in a way he is right. I truely feel Timlin has earned the right to be our anchor at this point. I think we may find that our expectation of Schilling may be a little high because he is still not completely right. I have no problem going to the bullpen to help out but he is still rusty which will come around eventually....when it does he needs to lead this team from the front which gives us the advantage to win every 5 days no matter the pitching match up.
  19. No I can't.......and I dont think this is going to happen. Johnny Damon voiced his opinion about the situation and I agree with him. Curt Schilling is the ace of the Boston Red Sox and needs to be once he has fully recovered. I don't see this lasting too long and Damon mentioned the same thing I did about Arroyo as a potential closer. Either Timlin or Arroyo should close once Schilling is healthy and until that happens Schilling should simply be a set up man. Schilling and Clement need to be our 1-2 punch the second half of the season and in the playoffs. I think Arroyo should set up for Timlin or vice versa when Schilling is fully recovered.
  20. I think we should talk to Milwaukee...try to get Lyle Overbay and Ricky Bottalico from them. Mantei is probably done which means Bottalico could fill in for him and Overbay can take over for Millar. Perhaps we could trade Millar and someone like Shoppach with another lesser prospect.
  21. I'll enjoy his performance in the playoffs on DVD....but tomorrow is a new story that has not been written and I don't want it to end in tragedy. This season is too important because only one team is making the playoffs from the AL East and I want it to be the defending champs.
  22. The Sox have been promoting and buying contracts from unknown pitchers....I almost think that is the smart move because these other relievers are too much....I'm sick of seeing Hanley Ramirez name pop up becuase Theo is not that stupid. Guardado for Ramirez is just rediculous. I say screw it and keep looking at unknown players because some of these guys could suprise if given the chance.
  23. I say let him go cause the right side of our infield is brutal BUT this could be a problem. Theo will have to go get another 1st baseman becasue Olerud can't play all the time...he is too old. I could almost see this coming though cause he looked annoyed the past couple days but he stinks and he will be the first to tell you. The biggest problem is everyone likes him. The whole team is friends with Millar and that may effect team chemistry although I hope they will remain professionals and go about there business anyways. If this goes down we need bullpen help and a 1st baseman....
  24. I dont think Wake needs to say anything...its automatic he would go to the bullpen if asked. I agree wtih Wells though....didn't see that coming...makes sense that he could be the "anchor of the team"
  25. yea just read that too....works for now but he needs to be a starter once he regains his form
