  1. Of course Posada is a quality hitter. He is a big game hitter that is hitting close to .300.
  2. Honestly, we have gone through some horrible times as Red Sox fans. But with the Rangers, they have the same problem every year (pitching). Texas may never have a good pitching staff.
  3. PITCH ONE: Behind Barry Bonds (make the guy jump a bit) PITCH TWO: Down and in PITCH THREE: So far inside, you wonder how it missed him (foul ball off bat handle) PITCH FOUR: Up and Inside PITCH FIVE: Steroid pussy is plunked in the arm http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a202/tx_soxfan11/Bondssucks.jpg Let's see the guy pass Babe Ruth if he is drilled everytime. Forget walking him. A .221 batting average (19 foe 86)? Barry sucks.
  4. Yep, looks typical for the Texas Rangers. The Rangers have never had pitching and against a lineup like New York's, they got what should have been expected.
  5. Fenway Park, Ameriquest Field (Texas Rangers), Minute Maid Park (Houston Astros), Great American Ballpark (Cincinnati Reds), and I will be adding Comerica Park in Detroit this summer. I'll also be taking another trip to Great American Ballpark in Cincy. But I suppose that is irrelevant.
  6. No dead bird for me, just the standings: DADDY Boston 22 14 .611 - skankees 21 15 .583 1.0 Toronto 21 16 .568 1.5 Crab Cakes 18 21 .462 5.5 Tampa Bay 15 23 .395 8.0 Poooooooor Orioles.
  7. If Bonds hits a milestone in my birthplace (HOUSTON, TEXAS), I will be pissed. Strike that motherf***er out every at bat.
  8. This rain has become a real mess. I did not read this thread at all, but is it most likely that we will not play again until Wednesday at Baltimore? I know there is a real good chance of rain there tomorrow and a slight chance on Tuesday.
  9. I don't have any problem with you, and I am sure many out there have no problem with you. Only suggestion is to think before you post (yes, I, Sox fan in Tex am saying that). Realize who the audience is you are posting to, I guess. I don't know.
  10. Yeah, with a 100% chance of rain tonight, I am going to say that we won't play, as well. Doesn't really get better for Baltimore on Monday. Weather.com says a 90% chance of isolated thunderstorms.
  11. Sounds like typical California to me.
  12. Hello, and welcome.
  13. Let's just give the game to New York. It's pathetic that we are not hitting when it counts. I can't stand much more of ESPN. Berman can say Worcester, Mass. right yet he says "Big PApi"? I also don't need an update every 30 minutes on steroid man and what he did earlier today.
  14. Plain and simple, you cannot beat New York with the breaks they are getting and great OF plays they are making. We've just got to hope that Wakefield can shut down the Yankee order and our offense can hit the ball somewhere on the field that won't get caught. Geez, this is a tough start.
  15. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a202/tx_soxfan11/moosehunting.jpg
  16. I don't want to push our luck with the "dead bird", but whoever usually posts it for the games, don't forget tonight!
  17. I'd vote between 1-5 games. Bernie was mad and had no intent on hitting the umpire. It deserves a suspension, but no more than 5 games in my mind. And yes, I believe that is right YanksHater213. I will refrain from making a comment about Melky, though, because he looked decent at the plate last night.
  18. It should be a dandy. Hopefully Schilling continues the way he has been pitching and we can figure out a way to hit Moose. Edit: If you are 6-3 during game threads, my thanks for you starting this one.
  19. Anway, back to topic: It should be interesting seeing the show tonight. Personally, I am waiting to see what they have to see about the resurgence of the rivalry in the 90's. About the earliest I can remember of Red Sox baseball is probably the '96 or '97 season. I envy some of you older guys who have gotten to see some great Red Sox players play.
  20. Welcome! Great selection of very respectable teams (yes, even the Pistons). My mother is from Detroit so I will pull for the Pistons when I see them on, and my great-grandfather is a big Braves fan so it is nice having you aboard. Hope you stick around.
  21. I'll explain it quickly and to the point: My team (the Boston Red Sox) are better than his/her team (the New York Yankees) since we both joined talksox. I remind Rivernator of this fact continually, pointing out stats such as Jeter's BA at Fenway or whatever subject I am bashing his team about. In return, Rivernator is real clever and makes a comment about the state of Texas. There is no "deal" between us. I always get the best of TheRivernator, making him/her look like a jackass. Thanks for asking.
  22. And thank you for the further information, RSR. It's nationwide for anyone reading this.
  23. I don't watch FSN too much, but I saw a commercial for a show talking about the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry. It starts tonight at 11 PM ET and lasts an hour and a half. I believe it will come on every Monday. Anyone know anymore about it? I am not sure if it is worth a damn or not.
