  1. I think they overpaid for Maggs. They did include a clause which says that if a knee injury lands him on the DL in 2005 for at least 25 days, then they can void the contract. Unfortunately for the Tigers, the clause is only for 2005.
  2. You also didn't mention how they blew a 10 point lead with about 2 mins to play. Back to the game I still think that the Pats have this one on hand. The Pats blew out Pittsburgh and Philly isn't a better team than Pittsburgh, so I'm standing by the prediction I've made all week, 35-17. As for the halftime performance, I think any Beatles song would be better than last year, at least any singing aspect.
  3. I think he means Ortiz will hit a lot of homers off of him.
  4. He said that it would come down to the last weekend, I disagree however, Red Sox or Yankees will have it locked up in the middle of September.
  5. Corporate business strikes down yet another stadium, as the Skydome has been renamed the Rogers Centre.
  6. I didn't think the Cubs had much interest in Maggs to begiin with, I think he'll end up on the Mets or in Detroit. As for Burnitz I think it just downgrades the Cubs more, they already haven't had a very good offseason and I doubt Burnitz can hit 30 plus homers again, now that he's not in Colorado, although I believe Wrigley is a hitter's park.
  7. Red Sox signed the following free agents to Minor League deals OF George Lombard OF Dave Berg 3B Tim Hummel 1B Shawn Wooten RP Scott Cassidy RP Jack Cressend SP Jeremi Gonzalez All these guys probably won't be on the Red Sox roster unless there are a monumental amount of injuries but it's worth noting.
  8. If they actually tried to add pitching in addition to their lineup then I'd be concerned, but until then I still think they'll finish behind the Yankees and Red Sox.
  9. I think they'll be ranked by the end of the week if they beat Rutgers on Saturday.
  10. Facts are always a good thing.
  11. Kentucky's in the SEC.
  12. The player is 1B prospect Ian Bladergroen.
  13. 35-17 Pats MVP: Corey Dillon Corey Dillon will have a big game 150+ Rushing yar Bethel Johnson will return a kick for a TD Tom Brady will throw 2 TD's Seymour will play, but no major contributions. TO will not play.
  14. I wonder how many kidnappers they needed. In all seriousness, I hope that all is well with El Guapo. I thought the Sox cut him loose too quickly.
  15. Yeah I like it as well.
  16. You're the one who actually thought I was a good poster there.
  17. I think he's more of a fan of the specific player's jerseys that he wears, such as Brady, but not the team. That being said he is a Pittsburgh fan.
  18. Yanks who are you over there?
  19. Yeah what the hell are you talking about over there.
  20. That's who I thought you were
  21. Pats and Falcons
  22. He doesnt suck but he is overrated, he can't beat the Pats.
  23. I don't think it's because it is because the writers hated him. All of the Boston writers voted for him and those were the ones who were around him the most. It was the rest of the country's writers who did not cover Rice.
  24. How come some Type A draft picks require Real 1st round picks, and others only require supplemental. I also don't see the Dodgers surrendering a pick for signing Drew, so wouldn't they give their 1st rounder to Atlanta?
