    I think that the money that Clement got was expected, the way the market for pitchers are going this year, that is about what Clement should get compared with other pitchers.

    Renteria's career OPS is 21 points higher than Cabrera's. Cabrera's OPS did improve significantly when he went to the Red Sox, but the same thing will happen when Renteria goes to Fenway as well.

    So are you saying that we should have signed Cabrera, instead of Renteria because of Renteria's low OBP? IF I'm not mistaken Cabrera's OBP is even LOWER than Renteria. I understand that you probably want Cabrera for other reasons as well, but for that to be your main reason makes no sense.

    Dated April 30. from KFFL ESPN.com reports San Francisco Giants C A.J. Pierzynski has upset his teammates with his work habits. According to the report, an incident occurred before the game Wednesday, April 28, when Pierzynski ignored Giants SP Brett Tomko's request to go over opposing hitters. Instead, the players said Pierzynski resumed playing cards for another 20 minutes. "I've never in all my years seen a catcher who didn't watch video before games," one pitcher told the newspaper. "He doesn't watch hitters -- other than the Twins games when they're on TV." "He's the cancer in here," one Giant, who requested anonymity, told the Oakland Tribune. "The pitchers aren't happy with him. If they can trade him, that would be fine with me. We all know Yorvie (Yorvit Torrealba) can catch this staff."

    I remember hearing stories that in San Francisco, that all his pitchers hated him, I'm not exactly sure of the reasons, but I will try to find the story.

    I don't think the Red Sox are going after him. He is known to be a nuisance in the clubhouse and rarely gets along with his pitchers, which is an intangible that Varitek had that made the rotation much better.

    Brewers have traded Scott Podsednik, Luis Vizcaino and a player to be named to the White Sox for Carlos Lee FYI, Podsednik won't be traded that easily in the sim league.
