    What a foolish statement. Are you saying that if you are not capable of keeping a lid on your temper, than we cannot criticize Youkilis? I get angry just like the next person, but I don't resort to striking people, or throwing objects at those who have pissed me off.

    I understand that Ortiz, Matsuzaka, etc... are all larger reasons for why they aren't better, but it is far more easier to avoid a suspension than it is to predict slumps. Hence the term, "EASILY AVOIDABLE."

    I don't believe that a700hitter's original suggestion was unreasonable. Suggesting that Pedroia play after his wife gave birth doesn't sound that outrageous.

    Unlike the two aforementioned busts, JD Drew actually has been a positive for the Red Sox this year. Although, he is not hitting as much as we expect him too, he's still getting on base at a .371 clip, and he's playing well above average defense in RF. Certaintly not worth $14 million, but he doesn't deserve the pariah status that Clement and Lugo deserve.

    I don't believe Alex Gonzalez will have the fortune of poor fielding by the infield defense every night.

    If Jacoby Ellsbury played in Oakland, then he would be regarded as the average outfielder he really is. Ryan Kalish is going to push him out of CF by 2011.

    He had a 1.01 ERA in 2006. He probably could have blossomed in Boston, or was the sight of the roaring crowd at Fenway Park enough to make him turn into a hysterical loon? If what you are saying is correct, then I'm glad the FO busted him. I don't want any of those kind of players on our team.
