  1. Chuck Norris doesn't do pushups. He's too old.
  2. He's a career .385/.524. He once had an OBP below .360 when he was 23 years old.
  3. I said it when he was alive. I wonder if they ever wiped his footprint off Mary Jo Kopechne's head.
  4. Dunn might have a slight dip in production, but he would still be an OBP and HR machine.
  5. Ted Kennedy is probably in hell right now. f*** him.
  6. The dumbass who thinks that the Vikings have a better chance to win with Jackson over Favre should be flogged.
  7. No, he's pretty average. He's not terrible, but I just don't see why he's so adored by Red Sox fans. SS and CF are two places the Red Sox could make big upgrades at.
  8. He's grounded into 10 DP's this year, so it has been happening at a more frequent rate. If Ellsbury plays on any other team than the Boston Red Sox, he's recognized as the mediocre player he really is.
  9. Ellsbury shouldn't stand in the way of Beltran.
  10. How much do you want to pay?
  11. Why not?
  12. True, but Theo should do what Sidney Carton did and take Madoff's place on the scaffold if that deal is made.
  13. Although Beltran is 32 years old, players with his skill-sets tend to age very well. He could slide over to RF or DH in a couple of years, and his bat still would play well there. In the meantime, he'd be a 6 to 8 win player in CF. Actually, I think Ellsbury could be expendable. Maybe we hold onto Bard and move Ellsbury instead.
  14. No chance. Anderson's tools still grade out very highly, and he is the more highly regarded prospect in baseball circles.
  15. No, I don't think they are. Both have a lot of question marks. Kalish is coming off wrist surgery, and has struggled for some time. He is hitting better lately, but I think the Mets would look for the blue chip prospects. I figure Kelly, Bard, Westmoreland, Reddick, and Bowden would get that deal done.
  16. None of those prospects are elite. Beltran and Santana are probably top 20 baseball players in the game. Tazawa and Bowden figure to be back end of the rotation starters. Kalish is a personal favorite of mine, and he'd be a player the Mets would want, but I'd have to believe the Red Sox would have to include Anderson, and Buchholz for a deal like that to get done.
  17. Jake Peavy was just traded to the White Sox, while he was injured.
  18. Jeter displays his obvious lack of range with that throw. An average SS makes that look routine.
  19. Any deal involving Hernandez includes Buchholz.
