  1. Well, that was a fun match to watch. Nadal looks really good.

  3. Nope, just not a huge fan of Ellsbury. I think he would be a fantastic fourth OF, but the Red Sox should target a CF who doesn't need to hit .300 to be useful.
  4. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=672565&sec=transfers&cc=5901 Portsmouth is headed to relegation.
  5. Maybe we should trade for Michael Bourn if the fetish for speed runs that deeply on this website.
  6. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=672926&sec=england&cc=5901 The gate crashers are spoiling the Liverpool party.
  7. Ellsbury still sucks.
  8. Do you know anything about them? How old are they? I don't know why, but the guy on the right cracks me up for some reason.
  9. Who the f*** are those guys? I guess they are Xander and Jair Bogaerts. They play C, and SS respectively, and they signed with the Red Sox today. Thanks for the news update.
  10. Gom's head explodes.
  11. Yeah, he was a starter in the minors.
  12. Last time I was on here, we were talking about Ellsbury's performance. If he's giving me s*** about Ellsbury's "mediocrity," I'm giving him s*** about his mediocrity. There's no animosity involved.
  13. Feliz is the next Pedro Martinez.
  14. You do know that a good game does not wipe out an entire season worth of a bad performance?
  15. Great performance tonight. Especially from Ellsbury.
  16. 4 K's away from 200.
  17. A walk would still drive in a run.
  18. I don't think Hunter would be a fair comparison, because he gets his value driving the ball out of the park. Kenny Lofton is probably his upside, with Pierre being the downside.
  19. He was actually a very good player for the Red Sox last year, even with his poor offensive performance. This is very contingent on his defense, however. I would prefer if the Red Sox brought in a more stable offensive CF, who plays steady defense.
  20. I see a defender who hasn't been getting to balls he should, and has a bad arm. My eyes are subjective and more prone to error. The statistics might be too, but when there is such a noticeable chance in performance from indicators that are reliable, I tend to go with the objective analysis.
  21. .347 OBP is OK, but he would be better employed down in the order. Stealing bases in front of Alex Gonzalez could be a good way to produce more runs.
