    I actually admire Wells’ determination to get back on the mound. He could have easily called it quits a couple of months ago, but has quietly rehabbed himself back into the rotation. I heard an interview where he stated he plans to retire after this season and wants to go out “in a blaze of glory”, not on the DL He knows how badly the Sox need him this year and I applaud his efforts in getting back sooner that I had expected.

    I wonder who’ll be sent down to make room for Wells on the roster…JVB?

    It’s too bad that Gabbard’s utility is limited in that he can’t work out of the pen. I heard something about this on NESN, that due to his arm surgery that he couldn’t be used that way. I suspect Lopez’s time will be short as Foulke is due to come off the DL soon.

    Good news on the horizon…I heard a quick mention on WEEI that Wells is scheduled to make a start against Cleveland on Monday night, Snyder to start on Tuesday.
