  1. I really have to give the guys on the team all the credit in the world, considering all of the bad news that has been piled on as of late. Not to mention that the games being played aren’t part of a playoff race. For the likes of Kyle Snyder to pitch probably the best game of his career and to focus on the game at hand and rise above all of the adversity. I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud to be a Red Sox fan than right now.
  2. Wasn’t the run charged unearned?
  3. I’m not sure if your post was meant to point out that pitching should be a priority instead, but if so, why should improving the offense be neglected? The team is clearly deficient in both areas. A Papi-Manny-Aramis 3, 4, 5 would be awesome.
  4. Given the strong Dominican presence on the team, maybe he could be persuaded to come to Boston.
  5. Swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of infection, or something like mono, or in the worst case lymphoma cancer like Hodgkins Disease. The fact the Tony Mazz was told that he’s being tested for cancer, and he reported it as such, makes me think the worst. God I hope I’m wrong and I wish Jon Lester all the best.
  6. It’s almost mind boggling how circumstances have changed since I first started this thread. There’s no doubt now that the Yankees have non-mathematically clinched the AL East as of today. 95 wins was what I projected back in July, but 85 wins seems more likely right now.
  7. And the Sox lose again, ending their miserable road trip with a 2-7 record.
  8. FWIW from his WEEI interview today, Tito was adamant that Wells won’t be traded and is still scheduled to make his next start tomorrow. He called the rumors “fictitious”.

  10. More and more I wish the Sox hadn’t given up on Josh Bard. The fact that Mirabelli seems to be the only catcher who can handle Wake’s knuckleball really restricts the Sox in this respect.
  11. Did Tito say to Tina that Papi had an episode a couple of hours before the game? This is really scary news.
  12. I don’t see the Sox moving Coco during the off season. He’s had a disappointing season but I think they’ll stick with him at least until next year’s trade deadline, especially with his relatively low $ contract. It’s amazing how he’s turned into a one tool (speed) player though. I just wish that injuries and all weren’t as such so Youk could be moved back to leadoff. Coco in the leadoff seems to negate a lot of the potential offense.
  13. So much for the Gabbard no hitter.
  14. Damn squander bases loaded.
  15. Carlos Pena gets a walk in his first AB as a Red Sox.
  16. Now that the mound has been repaired I predict Gabbard will throw a no hitter. Nice running catch by Hinske.
  17. Dead cat mojo? Wait, that is way wrong.

  19. Lowell knocks one out and Beak out of the game. What are the chances the Sox can come back and win this one, down 6-3?
  20. Papi breaks up the no hitter.
  21. The game has gone from bad to ugly. At least the Sox have a run on no hits. That’s kind of good, isn’t it?
  22. Tavarez is still proving he hasn’t graduated from the mop up role.
  23. Geez d’ya think Snyder is tired. In comes Tavarez as I type.
  24. Ibanez gets the salami. We're f***ed.
  25. GREAT AB from Pedroia. Time for some runs.
