    Any more word on Varitek? I heard he was supposed to have an MRI today. BTW on WEEI they said Huckaby is in the clubhouse today so it looks like at the very least a trip to the DL for the Captain.

    Keep in mind too that WMP just had surgery on his hand and likely doesn't have all of his power back yet. Wait till he does…wow. This guy has more upside than Kapler or Trot have right now in their careers. All he needs is now is regular playing time.

    He looked like someone who has missed a lot of time and really didn't have any chance to rehab against live batting. The good news is that he looked like he wasn't playing in pain or that the knee was bothering him. To that end I was pleased.
