This should be an interesting matchup, especially with the Rangers still waiting to name their starter. Sandoval will need to establish his command early, while Boston’s offense should be ready to adjust once the opposing pitcher is confirmed. Globe Life Field can play differently depending on conditions, so keeping pressure on early could matter.

Rangers are going with DeGrom and skipping Bradford's turn in the rotation. Tomorrow would be Gore? Rocker on Thursday?

The Sox will have to go to the rope-a-dope strategy like they did in most of the home stand. Try to get the starter's pitch count high enough to get him out of the game by the 5th or 6th inning.

Of course, this can only work if the Sox starter can keep his team in the game.
